Oh, and at one point (in video), regarding the price tag for the spending bill, when Barry said he “didn’t just pull the number out of my …” I really was waiting for the word “ass” to slip out there …

Barack Obama throws Joe Biden under the bus

By: Toby Harnden

Pity poor Joe Biden. His “there’s still a 30 percent chance we’re going to get it wrong” quote is put straight to President Barack Obama during the White House press conference just now and his boss seemed to want to say: “Vice-President Who?”

As reporters started giggling, Obama came close to conceding that Biden was indeed a joke. “You know, I don’t remember exactly what Joe was referring to, not surprisingly.”

The President went on to say that “I think what Joe may have been suggesting, although I wouldn’t ascribe any numerical percentage to any of this, is that given the magnitude of the challenges that we have, any single thing that we do is going to be part of the solution, not all of the solution.”

Of course, Biden wasn’t saying anything of the sort - Obama knew that and all the rest of us did too.

Biden’s exact quote, read out by Fox’s Major Garrett at the presser was: “If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, if we stand up there and we really make the tough decisions, there’s still a 30 percent chance we’re going to get it wrong.”

Clearly, Obama and his aides were unhappy about Biden’s loose lips. On Friday, top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on CNN: “I don’t know exactly about what that math was.”

We’re probably going to have to get used to Obama explaining “what Joe may have been suggesting”. And Biden must be wondering if he’s going to end up as a Dan Quayle figure.

(Some Of … uh, er … the … high … uh, er … points … BTW, listen for the “Will we finally get to see the dead troops in boxes coming home that Bush wouldn’t let us see?” question … almost breathless with anticipation.)

Politico:

Schultz gets front row seat

By Michael Calderone

What if Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh were up front at Bush’s press conferences in the East Room?

Well, as network correspondents sat in the second row, liberal radio host Ed Schultz managed to snag a seat up front, right next to Helen Thomas.

Schultz told Politico’s Jonathan Martin that his front row was seat was assigned to him.

  1. From my comments in DT, that I typed pretty much in real time (I guess I wasn’t the only one to think the same thing about Biden):

Watching the hussein interview. He’s lying out his ass as usual. Keeps going on about RVs and crumbling schools and everything is Bush’s fault. Blah, blah, blah, gimme your money, blah, blah, blah.

But a few minutes ago some sucker of cock asked about a timetable to abandon AFGHANISTAN and then whined about not showing the pictures of our war dead’s flag-draped coffins.

Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.

Now he’s throwing Biden under the bus. How is there still room?

Oh, for fucks sake! “What do you think about A-Rod?”

    Real fucking hardball question.

I’m sure I’m not the only one whose noticed that when hussein says words like ‘Pakistan’ he sounds like a native speaker. Or at least someone who speaks fluent arabic. Which he denies, although some have heard him speak that language quite eloquently.

I saw a Harvard trained Sophist trying to peddle a completely circular argument as valid.
He keeps getting asked what proves that jobs get created by spending this completely ridiculous amount of money and he can’t answer.
When Volcker testified before the Senate I lost count of how many times he got asked the same thing and he answered ‘I don’t know.’

    Barak: Uhhh I inherited…

    ==================================================================

    Here it begins.

    The excuses.

Like he didn’t know what office he was running for.

  4. As hard as Obuggerme is selling this giant Democrat pig of a spending bill must be more at risk than it seems.

We still may have a chance to kill the pig and cripple the Kenyan.

  5. POD1

    I need more fucking ammo.

More, we want more disclosure and transparency from the Duh Administration and answer the daxx questions! The reporter drones are too dumb to frame their own questions much less followup. What a bunch of peeps.

At least Biden is showing more honesty than his boss……..
    and boss doesn’t like it!

Maybe when Biden picks his ass up from under the bus the third or fourth time, he’ll want to see that birth certificate! Hell, even Biden would be better than this. Did anyone else notice the freudian slip regarding Iran nukes? They either have them already or they’ll have them soon, either way it doesnt bother him.
