Obama’s Spokesmen Won’t Rule Out Bid For Left To Seize Control Of Radio - With Video

The only information source the left doesn’t control is radio. They don’t want fairness. If they did, they’d be as up in arms about tv, newspapers and Hollywood as they are about radio. They want to control your and your childrens’ minds, period.

Politico:

Toward the end of David Axelrod’s interview on Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace jumped into a lightning round of hot-button issues.

There, Wallace asked the top adviser about an issue making the rounds on both conservative and liberal radio shows, where Democratic Congressional leaders (and even Bill Clinton) have recently weighed in.

“Will you rule out reimposing the Fairness Doctrine?” asked Wallace.

“I’m going to leave that issue to Julius Genachowski, our new head of the FCC, to, and the president, to discuss,” Axelrod said. “So I don’t have an answer for you now.”

In June, press secretary Michael Ortiz told Broadcasting & Cable that “Sen. Obama does not support reimposing the Fairness Doctrine on broadcasters.”

That’s clear enough. But since becoming president, it’s been difficult to get such a definitive statement.

Lester Kinsolving, the conservative radio host, has twice asked Robert Gibbs about it in the briefing room, and each time, the press secretary didn’t reveal the administration’s position.

Last week, I reached out to press office staffers in order to find out if the administration’s position is the same as in June, and have not yet received a response.

If Obama’s position on the Fairness Doctrine is the same as during the campaign — and I have no reason to believe it isn’t — stating that clearly would quickly silence a lot of conservative critics who assume the Democratic president is going to push to reinstate the defunct policy. Otherwise, the Fairness Doctrine chatter on the airwaves isn’t likely to die down.

If it does get passed it will include the ‘net.

president 0 wants to make broadband net service available to all. In doing so the fed gov’t will be providing it, and therefore the feds can control what is on the net.

If a book burns at Fahrenheit 451, at what temperature does a fiber optic cable melt?

I was watching his facial expressions and all I could get off of him was amusement.

Mark Levin said a year ago Axelrod’s parents were New York communists.

and people are acting surprised?!?!? this has been set for a while with everything pointing to implement. the only two people that will survive are beck and hanity due to the tv gig. the rest have not prepared nor are prepared when they are removed. amazing country we have now

The time has come to go hunting

  5. I couldn’t watch Axlerod on TV. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if his parents were card carrying communists. Remember Saul Alinsky is one of Obamas heroes…. :gun: :gun:

  6. The anger is bubbling. It’s bubbling up. “The Fairness Doctrine” from the fascist Left is an attack on the Constitution (First Amendment). They want to silence my radio and do the same to me. Any little pests, like a blogger like me, who mostly posts bad jokes, are open for cyber-attack - if they are not PC.

Bubble, Bubble, these motherfuckers are looking for trouble. I’m just a mellow musician, but the bubbles of anger are telling me to get even. That’s right, they shut down Rush, we do the same to one of them. Then all of them, because they are destroying the civilization we inherited from the Founders and all who fought for: “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Give me liberty, you puke pieces of shit, or you’re asking for it.

This punk is a true Communist. Fat-faced loser who had his lucnh money taken away from him while in elementary school. This is the face of Obama’s America. Losers, whiners, and thieves!

Lib radio can’t survive on its own so it makes sense for them…. especially now that ‘equality of outcome’ is THE #1 national defense issue of ‘progressives’.

  9. Dan (The Infidel)

Bill the annoying Press was bitching about the Fairness Doctrine the other day. Why because he got dumped from yet another AM station. Why? Because people can’t stand his ass.

What’s my point: The market drives talk radio. It has nothing to do with sales or signal strength. If people wanted Libster radio, then the market would demand it. But it doesn’t. Conservative talk radio sells, because it is what people want to listen to.

The fucking libs have all the rest of the media minus a couple of conservative papers and Fox News. No wonder there is such a demand for conservative radio. People are fed up with the crud that they get from the rest of the media.

So its all about control of opinion, the control of free speech. So fuck you Bill Press and the rest of you Obaminots. We’re on to your ruse.

Question is are you libsters ready for a war?

  10. The more these liberals say that they aren’t interested in doing something is the time worry that it is indeed a certainty. I look for this to be on the floor by May.

    So what about satillite radio?
Not to mention Rush could get a TV show again.

If they take Rush off the radio then I hope he runs for office.

The funny thing is that this is giving Rush more attention than he has had in who knows how long. They would be better off pretending that they are real men and working toward governing…what a novel idea. The good thing is that this will make the conservative movement even stronger. The more they mess with it the stronger it will become. Just think how funny it will be if Rush does do a TV show…it would be hilarious to see them squirm….knowing that they can’t really control it.

Given how well we the people were represented by our congress in the last bill,I can only wonder if the fairness doctrine will be passed in hours, not days…

  14. FRANK-O

passage of the fairness doctrine could very well be the tipping point…
