    Hey it’s a communist two-fer.

    1) It’s a back door way of negating part of the constitution, the 21st amendment (repeal of prohibition).

    2) They get to fund all sorts of useless bullshit.

    I agree, raise the tax, but don’t raise it over 1,000%!

    Hell, raising it 100-200% isn’t a bad go for it. After all, you’d only end up paying ~$10 for a six pack.

    Trust me people will pay a little more for beer…..well except in the case of Natie Lite. :lol:

    I was working in Central Oregon in the spring of 2007 and my favourite flavour in the NW is Henry Weinhard’s Blue Boar Ale. It was 6 to 7 bucks a six-pack then. Now it would be around 10 to 11 bucks. And the little puppy state rep who is proposing this doesn’t realize another consequence of this legislation. First up, people out of work. It will cause the cost of doing business to go so high that some of the local breweries will shut down or at best scale back their operations. And when folks quit buying, the taxes are not going to be collected. I guess he doesn’t understand that.
    But as long as he “does something” it’s alright.
    The boy is in dire need of an attitude adjustment.

    cut off ALL STATE funding of rehab programs–let the churches handle it since it is up their alley in the first place. There– no more problem!!! people keep working, beer drinkers keep on drinking. AND THE BOUNUS of this is that the state justed saved 5 million dollars that they have been wasting on programs that don’t really work. And how I know this my brother has a bad drinking problem and he and his girlfriend for the past 6 years have made it a habit of every several months to get arrested for petty crapp, and then they get to enter a rehab place so instead of being on the streets, they get meals,A/C(we are in FL)t.v.and all they have to do is sit in a group meeting 2 times a day. ALL PAID FOR BY THE STATE. You see there was a time that my brother was a better person than he is now, he’s an Ex-Marine. Say a prayer for him to find his way back–but know these programs rarely ever work.

    Haven’t those Oregonians heard of the “Whiskey Rebellion”! Talk about pissing off the wrong group! Beer drinkers of Oregon revolt! Sam Adams made sure you had the right to home brew. So do it!     People shouldn’t pay 1 more fucking cent in taxes for anything. We pay more and get less in nearly every measure. I live the socialist state of Kalifornia and we are taxed at every turn.

    I brew my own beer and if I lived in Oregan I would start selling it to my neighbors. This idea of taxing craft beers ro reduce taxes is the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard.
