Anyone buy anything via this site…
    http://www.gunsamerica.com/
Owner to owner does not require any of the fed Brady Bill crap that I am aware of.

  2. Watching the hussein interview. He’s lying out his ass as usual. Keeps going on about RVs and crumbling schools and everything is Bush’s fault. Blah, blah, blah, gimme your money, blah, blah, blah.

But a few minutes ago some sucker of cock asked about a timetable to abandon AFGHANISTAN and then whined about not showing the pictures of our war dead’s flag-draped coffins.

Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.

Now he’s throwing Biden under the bus. How is there still room?

  3. Oh, for fucks sake! “What do you think about A-Rod?”

    Real fucking hardball question.

  4. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose noticed that when hussein says words like ‘Pakistan’ he sounds like a native speaker. Or at least someone who speaks fluent arabic. Which he denies, although some have heard him speak that language quite eloquently.

    Unbreakable,

“One of the things they didn’t take into account on that test is the fact that most cinder block construction includes filling of the cells with grout or small aggregate concrete. Most brick facing on houses is done the same, for purposes of creating columns so that the wall has support. Not to mention, most cinder block homes have stucco (at least in Florida) which acts as another layer of concrete, and “stands off” of the wall approximately 1/2″ to 3/4″ typically and can assume plasticity during high winds, impact, etc. due to the way in which stucco is applied. Another thing they didn’t mention is that they are using rounds specifically meant to penetrate armor, as well as explosive rounds from the 203, etc. Big duh factor in this test.

This test is nothing more than shooting at unfinished structures, and I can guarantee that there is no structure made with less than 2 feet of concrete that will stop all projectiles anyway. Small arms such as pistols will be stopped by modern structures but higher speed rifle rounds will penetrate. That’s a no brainer. You do stand a better chance in an actual structure, but not much better.

This is meant to scare people? 98% of combat consists of nothing but concealment anyway. Cover comes in sandbags and less rigid forms of wall making, with the wall being 2′ or thicker, this is why training to build bunkers consists of 5 bag deep structures being the minimum for true bunkers. That art has been lost though. Anything rigid will assume the form of the projectiles shot at it at speeds higher than 900 fps. There are actually people here in Florida building their homes with the filled cells using concrete every 4′ and sand for every cell other than those. It makes for good insulation as well. I would be interested to see tests on structures like those.

I would have been impressed had they not been using military ammunition, military weapons, etc. and had used conventionally available civilian rounds with civilian semi-auto rifles, shot by hand and not braced to impact at the same point repeatedly.”

Well you know, I live in Florida too, and I still think that the video was pretty shocking. And I don’t think your bunker would stand a chance against a SMAW or 30mm chain gun as the video showed. As for them being military weps, supposed there is insurrection in the streets with Fuhrer Hussein’s thugs? Possible scenario? And some of the weps used, 9mm pistol, ak-47, m-16-well you see the semi-auto versions of those all the time at the range. And remember, the title of the video was “concealment does not equal cover”. I think they were trying to make two points. One, that modern dwellings are not safe from small arms fire should friendlies decide to take shelter in such a dwelling, and two, that if a hostile person is located in a modern dwelling, there are ways to take down the hostile persons short of storming the house. And I don’t think it was meant to scare, it was a USMC training vid. It was meant to inform. What do you think?

Kermit, I get parts, etc. from Gunsamerica all the time. If you buy anything that anyone is selling, they will have to send it to you via an FFL. Meaning the checks, etc. will be done.

Unbreakable, I have built shoot houses to stand up to rifles, etc. Again, the “softer” the filling in the walls, the more energy it will dissipate.

The common build of a house, nah, it will let rounds pass, but if you are experienced enough, you know what will and what won’t stop bullets. Harder is not always better. Defeating a SMAW round is no all that difficult either. They are simply shape charges that blast holes through their target. Defeating a shape charge with something other than a 45-90° angled HARD piece of anything isn’t that difficult if you pay attention to your construction. I have seen LAW rounds, AT-4 rounds, and even RPG’s dud in a sand berm. Simply because they weren’t hitting a hard enough surface to go bang. (You would think that earth is hard enough, but…) I am not worried about a bunker being strong enough, if it is built properly atomic weapons won’t penetrate. Just a matter of who builds it and how. One row of sandbags is never enough. ;)

Kermit, to expand on what I said, they will have to send FFL to FFL if they are not in the same state as you are, or are not willing to meet face to face…

Out of curiosity, anyone here ever pledge with Beta Theta Pi? Chances are, I’ll start the initiation process with them on Wednesday. I’ve looked over the other offers, and I really clicked with that fraternity here at Tech; SAE & Sig Chi were too damned crazy for even me (if you can believe that).

Another point is that cinder block and concrete block are two different materials. Cinder block is much lighter and easier to shatter.

Al Qaeda’s ‘Shadow Army’ in Pakistan and Afghanistan

The Taliban is conquering in territory in Pakistan’s northwest as southern and eastern Afghanistan continue to destabilize. In Pakistan, Taliban forces have openly defeated Pakistan’s military, while NATO forces have had some tough fights over the past year.

The Taliban’s success can be largely attributed to the reincarnation of the al Qaeda-led paramilitary forces that were destroyed during the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.

This joint force consists of elements from al Qaeda, the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, and allied extremist groups in the region. In an exclusive article, The Long War Journal reports on this force, which is called the Lashkar al Zil, or the Shadow Army, and has obtained a photograph of a small unit operating in Pakistan’s Swat district.

You can read more about the Shadow Army here:

  14. I bought a PX4 .45 through gunsamerica. Smooth process. Bought it from a dealer in Flordia, transferred it to my range.

Transfer fees add to the cost, so make sure to account for that. Otherwise, some good deals, and a wide range, if nothing, it lets you know what the market value currently is.

Side note, the Barretta PX4 in .45 is a great shoot, the rotating barrel helps with the recoil. Fired 250 rounds in one session, felt great.

  15. Fuckn hussein is talking about not letting this crisis go to waste. That’s exactly what I’m afraid of. Classic leftism. Panic the people until they give up ever more freedom and prosperity for security. They’ll never get it, obviously, and then when their latest scheme fails (as they’re all meant to do) he’ll use the ever deepening crisis to convince people to hand him more and more power until there’s nothing left to give.

    See Zimbabwe for further details.

Interesting article, goes along with a lot of what Trends Research Institute is saying. I do have one question tho, have you yet received total consciousness? Advice: beware the Dalai Lama, he will…I repeat…WILL stiff you on the 18th.

    ——–

He did an interview for the NY Times back in Feb 2007 or 2008 in which he was quoted as saying, “The Muslim Call to Prayer is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.” The Times journalist then went on to say that “[Bambi] sang the Call to Prayer in a perfect Arabic dialect.”
