Pro-Hunter Gov. Sara Palin Strikes Back At Pro-Baby-Killing Ashley Judd - With Videos
Actress Ashley Judd and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin have locked caribou horns over a controversial program up north that allows killing wolves and bears from airplanes.
Judd appears in a new video for Defenders of Wildlife, saying “It’s time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery.” In Alaska, private citizens are permitted to shoot wolves from the air or conduct land-and-shoot hunting of wolves in rural areas. Palin says it’s an improtant tool to sustain moose and caribou population for the state’s subsistence hunters.
Following the release of the video, Palin shot back at Judd and the wildlife group in her own statement: “It is reprehensible and hypocritical that the Defenders of Wildlife would use Alaska and my administration as a fundraising tool to deceive Americans into parting with their hard-earned money … Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times.”
Defenders of Wildlife is based in Washington, D.C., and has field offices in nine mostly Western states plus Mexico and Canada.
Palin belittled the organization, founded in 1947, as a “fringe group.”
“We’re not radical in any sense,” said Wade Willis, the Alaska representative for the group. He says its local constituency is comprised of longtime Alaskans, as are the group’s two paid employees in the state.
“Alaskans depend on wildlife for food and cultural practices which can’t be sustained when predators are allowed to decimate moose and caribou populations,” Palin said in a statement distributed by her office. “Our predator control programs are scientific and successful at protecting vulnerable wildlife.”
It’s not the first time Defenders of Wildlife has targeted Palin. Last fall, when Palin was John McCain’s running mate, it ran ads in several states denouncing Palin and the predator control program, and raised more than $1 million. Judd had campaigned for President Barack Obama during the campaign.

I think that Judd is jealous because Palin is better looking, tougher and can stand for what is right. Ashley doesn’t know how to deal with it!
I wish more States practiced sensible game management techniques like Alaska. Although I don’t hunt anymore I come from a family that has hunted for generations and have seen how it can benefit wildlife.
In High School I did a study in my Biology class on the effects of allowing Doe hunts on Deer populations. The positive effects are overwhelming in not only the health of the herd, but in the number of healthy bucks in the population. CA is an example of what not to do. They do not allow Doe hunts and as a result we have large numbers of fat happy does and very few sizable bucks (you only see them in areas adjacent to human populations where they can’t be hunted).
But then again, you get vocal idiots like Ashley Judd with the scientific background of a caveman and of course emotion over-rules reason when it comes to cute furry critters.
They banned Mtn Lion hunting in this State because of people like her and the number of depredation permits that have needed to be issued has soared (my Uncle is a Cattle Rancher and has personally been effected by this). These are also the same people that would not let hunters take Elk in Yellowstone after the wildfires there years back. What happened? There was a massive winter die off of the herds due to lack of food. Better to let them suffer than have quick death I guess.

But there is a reason for it, this isn’t to protect some sheepherders flock or to drive them out of there natural habitat. Its to curtail there numbers enough to maintain breeding sized herds. True, the herds are getting pinched as we expands, but something has to give and it is not going to be us.
Instead of trying to curtail the hunting of them (trading one species for another is stupid) those ignorant cunts should raise money to buy them habitats, as per the ideas of Audubon.
LOVE your idea. My downstairs neighbor adopted a wolf as a pet. Damn thing was an outright menace. It would shit all over the back yard causing it to reek of wolf shit, howl at all hours, try to attack people, and eventually attacked a neighbors dog. Finally had to take it in the woods and shoot it.
I’m sure Ms. Judd would be overjoyed to have them roaming her property and shitting all over her lawn, howling, etc.

Wolves don’t just hunt and kill for food, they also kill for sport. They hone their skills and tactics even when they’re not hungry.
It’s what they do and they do it well.
I wish that Governor Sarah would have used the need for sound wildlife management for the sake of the wolves themselves, their prey animals, and sport hunting. Sport hunting funds almost all wildlife and habitat conservation and is conducted by “fair chase”, rather than citing subsistence hunting. subsistence hunting is an abused practice in Alaska, and even perverted into commercial hunting by some natives.
Such details will hardly matter to the “eco-nuts”, but when we get it 100% right the contrast is even starker against their idiocy.
If they succeed in mismanaging the wolf population causing starvation; maybe, they can be fed liberals. They eat carrion in a pinch, don’t they?
We need to aerial hunt wolves here in Montana, deer and elk populations are down exponentially since those idiots decided to reintroduce the wolf here. The Canadians that gave the wolves to be brought down here made it on the condition that they could not be returned.
We think it was a plan to ruin the hunting (which it is certainly doing) to pry away gun ownership.
No need to own guns if there’s nothing to hunt.

Followup on BlueOval8950. Out here in LaLa Land they banned Mountain Lion hunting back in 1992. Records kept in North America for fatal lion attacks in the USA and Canada from 1890 to 2000 were 20 total. Since 1990, ten of those twenty fatal attacks occurred in Kalifornia.
