Bumped: Prominent New York Moderate Muslim TV Mogul Beheads Wife

    Founded TV network to combat negative perceptions of Muslims

    Bridges TV founder and Chief Executive Muzzammil Hassan founded the TV network in 2004. According to a Reuters story at that time, “his wife came up with the idea in December 2001 while listening to the radio on a road trip.”:

    “Some derogatory comments were being made about Muslims that offended her,” Hassan told Reuters ahead of Tuesday’s launch. “She was seven months pregnant, and she thought she didn’t want her kids growing up in this environment.”

    So he founded Bridges TV to combat negative perceptions of Muslims.

    But now that he has beheaded his wife, I’m afraid this prominent moderate Muslim will only be feeding those negative perceptions.

    Orchard Park police are investigating a particularly gruesome killing, the beheading of a woman, after her husband — an influential member of the local Muslim community — reported her death to police Thursday.

    Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Detectives have charged her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder.

    “He came to the police station at 6:20 p.m. [Thursday] and told us that she was dead,” Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz said late this morning.

    Muzzammil Hassan told police that his wife was at his business, Bridges TV, on Thorn Avenue in the village. Officers went to that location and discovered her body.

    Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.

    This just illustrates the fact that there is no such thing as a moderate mooslem.

    As has been said…. so much for “moderation”. Its just crazy how some approach this “religion” and its practitioners…. You get about 45 thousand examples of how completely non-moderate this religion behaves.. and yet we get sidetracked by some mutt who wants to “promote understanding”. Well here’s what I understand … islam is a religion that is being practiced as if we are in the 7th century, refuses to “evolve” (as the other religions have) and modern man is supposed to be tolerant, and respectful, and understanding of this religion that not only shows zero tolerance and respect for its own adherents but also advocates the enslavement or death of any non-practitioner.

    All in all sounds like a “moderate” well balanced approach to spirituality and dealing with humanity….

    I’m sure that if the husband completes “Anger Management” and some community service, he can re-enter American Society.
    He was probably suffering from amnesia, mental illness or just Islamic insanity when he beheaded his wife.
    The US Courts might restrict him from using any knives or sharp objects for a period of time.
    How about some real justice, the death penalty for this moron.
