  1. Dead commies and dead muj, whats not to like?

Fuck the Soviets. We have have achieved in Afghanistan what even Alexander The Great couldn’t do. He had to marry Roxanne to subdue Afghanistan. We on the other hand, defeated haj with muj help. Neither the Soviets or Alexander have anything to compare to that achievement in that part of the world.

  3. Yah, but it still sucks to see a helo going down like that. I’d rather a dead muj.

some vids were tests..like the back view of the exploding Mi-24 look-a-like …its wasnt an Mi-24, but a Mi-8 made to look like one, like in a rambo movie in afghanistan. but the first impact scene is definately a real thing…i wish we had that many stingers in august :???:

by the way…here some vids of georgians shooting some more russian planes down:

and this piece..well remember during the war they were showing georgian plane getting shot down..well apparently it was a russian plane, the chechens and ossetians and kossacs shot down their ally, and executed the pilot before they found out he was russian - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLsulRuOkuI

also the wreckage of another shot down russian SU-24 tactical bomber filmed by the greek journalist -

and for last, the destroyed russian armor, notice the blue round sticker on the side of the equipment - “peacekeepers” emblem that russians painted an all of their armor and some more wreckage of another SU-24 bomber near a Nikozi village -

I believe Alexander married Rokhsana after defeating the Afghan tribes, i.e after a campaign that lasted 4yrs. The country was then governed by 4 generals for the next 50-60yrs .. one region I think Bactria was governed for 3 centuries but I could be mistaken. I get your gist though Dan, saying that Alexander was one bad ass - Persians to this day still consider him satan and their massive defeat to his Greek legions are also immortalized in poems and horror stories that have passed down through the generations. He must have done something right if he still haunts the goatfuckers after 2 millenia lol.

I never really understood Ruskies and their helicopter gunships, they’re like flying semis inviting ground to air strikes - flying failures just waiting to happen.

No one has ever conquered Afghanistan….including Alexander. Marrying Roxanne was a political move, so that Alexander’s army could procede onto India. He and his army fought well, but he never conquered Afghanistan by military force. Only the US holds that distinction.

What Alexander, the Brits and the Soviets couldn’t do with
thousands of troops, the US did with 350 SOF and the Northern Alliance.

Love the links. I’m an old anti-Communist. I hate the Soviets still…I cheered the muj in their fight against the Soviets…and was happy the CIA helped them out. I would add: Long Live Georgia. Any country that is willing to fight Putin and his KGB gangsters is OK by me.

Agreed they never did totally defeat Afghanistan in entirety, but Bactria did become the heart of the Seleucid/Greco-Bactrian empire there for a while and Greek was for a long time the exclusive language of culture and administration in Bactria. So some regions were conquered for a period of time, of course the empire never succeeded fully even after 3 centuries of rule, but I still hold any empire that can haunt these goatfuckers for over 2 millenia is alright by me *wink.

That region and that part of history is truly fascinating, there’s a Bactrian Gold exhibition currently touring the US and for ancient history buffs it’s a must see, highly recommended. The treasures would have been certainly lost forever had the Taliban got their hands on them..

I see I’m not the only ancient history buff in here. I read Alexander in HS. Wish I still had that old military history book. It was a great reading on ancient military doctrine.
Yeah the Talibastards are some fucked up people. They should die more often if you ask me.

By all means bring them up from time to time. I enjoy watching a good commie ass kicking.

Have a feeling there are a few of us here Dan. Here’s some more historical perspective, quite poignant considering the Democrap madness we’re all witnessing - deserves its own post here I believe..
