‘Wife Swap’ costs husband 2 board seats

The tale of Stephen Fowler, a.k.a. “the worst husband in the world,” is what we call a “talker.” Check out the several hundred SFGate comments following Chronicle staff writer Justin Berton’s story ( www.sfgate.com/ZGEM) on the San Franciscan’s appearance on ABC-TV’s so-called reality show “Wife Swap.” Not to mention the gazillion other Internet postings from near and far. That apologies have since flowed has not slowed the angry avalanche. Fowler, a renewable energy maven, isn’t talking publicly, but knowing the Web world as we do, not everything said about him is necessarily accurate, including the business affiliations ascribed to him.

We do know of two San Francisco environmental organizations that now count Fowler as an ex-board member. A spokesman for ForestEthics said little beyond the fact that the organization has since received e-mails inquiring about him. In a statement, Pacific Environment said Fowler’s “behavior represented on the show absolutely does not reflect the organization’s values and ideals.”

One question outstanding: Even if Fowler’s performance, as has been claimed, was choreographed by the show’s producers, why would he agree to it in the first place?

I JUST HOPE IF HE IS MAKING ALL THIS MONEY FROM EMPOYEERS OF THE GOOD USA THAT HE LOSES HIS JOB AS WELL AS HIS WIFE WHO PUTS UP WITH THIS ASSHOLE, ESPECIALLY AFTER HE MADE A COMPLETE FOOL OUT OF HER AND THE JOB SHE DOES. I WONDER IF ALL HER OVERWEIGHT CLIENTS ARE STILL WITH HER. I AM REALLY SURPRISED THAT THE OTHER WOMAN’S HUSBAND DIDN’T KICK HIS SLIMY BRITISH ASS. I CAN ONLY HOPE FOR ONLY BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO THIS WONDERFUL ASSHOLE. SO STEPHEN, WHEN GOD CREATED ASSHOLES HE ONLY CREATED ONE PERFECT ONE AND THAT MY FRIEND IS YOU. YOU WERE NOT ACTING NOR WERE YOU COACHED TO DO THE THINGS YOU DID. YOU ARE A SAD EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN AND IF YOU ARE A LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZEN YOU ARE A VERY POOR EXCUSE OF BEING ONE. PLEASE JUST PACK UP ALL YOUR WORLDLY BELONGINGS THAT YOU LOVE TO BRAG NON-STOP ABOUT AND TAKE THE NEXT BOAT TO WHERE THE HELL YOU CAME FROM… THAT’S IF YOUR OWN PEOPLE WILL LET YOU BACK IN.     This “man” has no honor, or self-control. Just arrogance and pride, in what I do not know, but I do know such a creature is as shallow as a piss puddle. Even if he was provoked by the producers, it just goes to show he IS weak. I’m sure the opinions he expressed were real, snotty and supercilious. :twisted: :gun: :shock:
