Another Public Ass-Ripping For PM Gordon Brown

Mar 29, 2009 14 Comments ›› Pat Dollard

Apparently this gentleman was the “warm-up” for the now famous ass-ripping by Daniel Hannan.

What I find very hauntingly disturbing about this video and the Daniel Hannan one is not the rage and anger and insistence by which both men deliver their rant(s) … But the content of those rants, and how frighteningly similar they are to the issues that are growing everyday with our own government.

When will we open our eyes and see the mistakes of our brethren across the pond and their failed love affair with Marxism Lite under the guise of socialism … And while GB and the other EU countries toil with their failing economies, a cancer grows within their own societies … Sharia and Islamo-Fascism.

Gordon Brown meets the real opposition when he visits Strasbourg.
(Update – For those of you who have asked, Nigel spoke a few moments before Daniel Hannan had his turn at lambasting Gordon Brown)

This is the transcript:

Mr President, the Prime Minister has received some criticism this afternoon for his comment British jobs for British workers, but you can brush that aside, because from the moment he said it I do not think anybody seriously thought that he would ever, as a British Prime Minister, put the interests of British workers above that of his European dream. My goodness me, you showed that this afternoon, Prime Minister.

It is just a pity that, apart from UKIP, virtually nobody seems to have bothered to turn up to listen to you. You are very popular here. You are very popular indeed because within a few days of the Irish saying no to the Lisbon Treaty, you had rammed that Treaty through the British Parliament, breaking a specific manifesto pledge that you would give the British people a referendum on the Constitutional Treaty.
Shame on you, Prime Minister, for doing that. You have devalued democracy in our country; you have devalued the trust that voters put in you as a British Prime Minister. Of course, we know the reason why. The reason why is that we would have voted no. You said in your speech that none but those on the extremes oppose European Union. Well, that may be right amongst professional career politicians, but a clear majority of the British people want us to have friendship and free trade with the European Union, but do not want to be members of this political Union.

You cannot continue to build this European Union against public opinion. If you do it against the will of the people, you are storing up enormous social and political problems for the future. Please let the peoples of Europe decide their destiny. Do not have it done in parliaments like this and parliaments like Westminster. It will not work!
As far as the economy is concerned, you have told us that somehow you are the economic guru; you are the man who can save the world. Well, I remember very well your first big act as Chancellor when you sold 400 metric tonnes of gold on the worlds exchanges at USD 275 an ounce. At todays valuation, that would be USD 10 billion higher. It was not just the fact that you got it wrong, because we can all get it wrong. It was the fact that you announced in advance how much you were going to sell and on what day you were going to sell it. It was an error so basic that the average A-level economics student even in these educationally devalued times would not have done this. To add to that, you have destroyed our private pension system, and you took away from the Bank of England its ability to regulate the banks and gave it to the tick-box bureaucrats of the FSA in Canary Wharf.
We have not heard an apology. Your Government has apologised for the Amritsar massacre; you have apologised for slavery; you have apologised for virtually everything. Will you please apologise for what you did as British Chancellor, and then perhaps we might just listen to you?

Man, some of those Brits have some major balls.
Where the fuck, or better, when the fuck, are American Republicans going to grow some?

  • Scoot

The sad part of the whole thing is PM Brown is laughing at the whole thing.

  • Vanessa

    This is great.

Not many people have the guts to say the truth and keep saying it until they are heard.

I agree you cannot force people against their will….it just causes simmering resentments to build up…..

Like this asswipe political blunder we got going on in the good old USA with this manditory-voluntary service BS. Hey if it smells like shit, looks like shit, sticks to your shoe like shit, then you can be sure its shit.

    and~~
Man that gold blunder he did was a WHOPPER!!

Where is the Iron Lady when you need her the most? Eh, Mother Country?
Brown is an idiot. He is PC at its’ pathetic best.

    Hey, he won, remember?

Bitter Klinger…gotta love it. Nice one.

This is exactly what the Republicans should be doing in the Hosue and Senate. The fact that they are not leaves us no choice. This is suppose to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Our government is no longer that.

I recently read a great quote by Winston Churchill on Socialism:

Government, of the duds, by the duds, and for the duds.

Barney Frank is the biggest dud of them all.

Sorry guys but both US and British are not in the biblical prophecy in the last days…either they are destroyed both politically and morally or just does not have the power anymore. World domination will be in the EU as the Roman Empire will be revive under the leadership of the Anti-Christ. (Ezekiel, Daniel and Revelation)

That’s one thing about the British, and evidently European Parliament that I love. In Britain they have a “questions for the Prime Minister” segment. I’ve seen it on cable many times while Blair was the PM. The PM actually sits there in Parliament and the members pepper him/her with questions and commentary. The PM gets to respond instantly. It’s a lively debate forum with lots of raucous “here, here’s” and applause and sometimes “booing” but it’s a great exercise. How many presidents have we had that could go toe to toe with the congress in that format? I know Bambi couldn’t handle it, nor GWB…Clinton may have done well and I think Reagan, as well. Not too many others. Any other opinions out there?

always loved watching BP’s back and forth. i enjoyed the reaming Brown gets, but his laughing appalls me. everyone is laughing at him, but what’s he laughing at?

  • steve m (yet Another Infidel!)

 ghostie alix – It attests to two things. His ego and his utter lack of sense – The former usually a key ingredient leading to the latter.

Conservative leaders (are there any? ) please, take note. We here on this side of the pond so desperately seek someone, or more, who are willing to step up in a similar fashion as these two brit mp’s.

 Jarhead68 I’ve seen that as well. Makes for great TV… Our congress though is so full of preening prima donnas and self righteous prigs that their false dignity, false sense of superiority and decorum inhibits this kind of truly refreshing debate…that two-bagger skank pelosi would have a coniption (sp?) fit and call for lights and mike’s to be shut off…..

It seems the World is gearing up for something big. When the quiet Brits start squawking in ‘Defcon 5′ terms in public and naming names, it seems we are late to the party.

Active, let’s get a move on! We have NO Politicians that represent us any longer. Great Britton seems to have scared up 2 in a single short month.

Active! Where do we go first? Aim me. I’m a loaded political gun! :gun:

  • DesignR

“Aim me. I’m a loaded political gun!” metaphorically speaking.

  • Sandy

That was cool to hear them speak powerfully and openly!

Brown made himself look like a nut job with that goofy laughing.

The world is in for some rockin’ & rollin’ times that is for sure.
