AP Tries Desperately To Prop Up Failing President

Obama

Read this amatuer propagandist tripe. Man, what a hack job. It has all the sophistication and tactical skill of a 14 year-old in the backseat of a car, gettin’ busy. “Still, he ended with hope.” What is disturbing is that they are writing for children, aged 12 to 80. They elected him, and they are battling to keep him afloat, because otherwise, they will sink with him. Worse, there is no mainstream media. There is only a Neo-Marxist propaganda machine.

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama on Saturday challenged his country to see its hard times as a chance to “discover great opportunity in the midst of great crisis.”

“That is what we can do and must do today. And I am absolutely confident that is what we will do,” Obama said in his weekly radio and video address, taped a day earlier at the White House.

The work week ended on more down news, with the report of 651,000 more American jobs slashed and an unemployment rate climbing to 8.1 percent. That is the highest rate of people out of work in more than 25 years, as the recession continued to put enormous pressures on families and industries.

Obama recapped the work of the latest hectic week in his young presidency. His goal was to reassure the country that he and his team are taking specific steps to create jobs in the short term and begin to address huge issues such as health care.

His rundown of the past week: the launch of a more detailed plan to help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure; a new credit plan to spur lending for people and businesses; an overhaul of the way the government hands out private contracts to reduce waste; and a summit on how to overhaul health care.

On the last point, Obama has set a goal of signing a bill this year that would fix the U.S. health care system, which is the costliest in the world and leaves an estimated 48 million people uninsured, plus many others lacking adequate coverage.

“Our ideas and opinions about how to achieve this reform will vary, but our goal must be the same: quality, affordable health care for every American that no longer overwhelms the budgets of families, businesses and our government,” Obama said.

Obama says he is not wedded to a plan on how to fix the problem. But one proposal he has endorsed, giving Americans the option of buying medical coverage through a government plan, is drawing opposition from Republicans.

Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., emphasized that point in the Republican weekly radio address.

“I’m concerned that if the government steps in it will eventually push out the private health care plans millions of Americans enjoy today,” Blunt said. “This could cause your employer to simply stop offering coverage, hoping the government will pick up the slack.”

As the White House takes on so many huge issues at once, Obama is encouraging people to take a longer view, and not get caught up in the fits and starts. The president said in his address that the nation will continue to face difficult days in the months ahead. Still, he ended with hope.

“Yes, this is a moment of challenge for our country,” Obama said. “But we’ve experienced great trials before. And with every test, each generation has found the capacity to not only endure, but to prosper—to discover great opportunity in the midst of great crisis.”

    Everything is a crisis to this asshat. All it does is keep panic stirred up, and I am rather certain that is the intent. If you want a calm populace, remind them that things will get better and not drone on using negative reinforcement phrases. The Amateur Obama is no leader, he simply has visions of grandeur and narcissism to go on.

    “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste”
    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/03/a_dishonest_gimmicky_budget.html

    Said by two different people of the Obama Administration, different locations, different times. Think we know the major talking point? Hmm.

    i would guarantee that its his intention to keep the American people panicked. look through out history and their have been men who used a crisis as a power grab. people relenquish their power and money because they believe its necessary to get through a problem. but guess what, that crisis never seems to end and even if it does you do not get your money or power back.

    “to discover great opportunity in the midst of great crisis.”
    This is the liberal tag line. never let a “crisis” go to waste.

    What pisses me off about this man/child is he used the “strength of this country” and our ability to overcome difficult times as referance to aid his socialist agenda when these traits were used to make this country great,strong,Independant,successful.
    He is such a puppet master,manipulator.
    He hates traditional America.

    Shouldnt he be focused on economic recovery?? Nationalized health care does not make sence when we have NO MONEY!!!

    Folks, I have said this over and over.

    1) Anyone who writes an autobiography (Obama has written two) before he has accomplished a thing worthy of a book, is full of dangerous hubris. (Another very infamous character from the 20th century penned an auto-B before he had done anything other than rabble-rouse as well.);

    2) He has never started or run a business, has never made payroll, has never worked in the private sector, as such. (Sorry, but a few years in a radical small law firm and agitating in the streets does not quality);

    3) Every level he achieves is used as an immediate springboard to the next. I have hired and consulted on upper-level management. That is something we immediately look for in potential candidates: what is their STAYING POWER. He has not demonstrated any, at any level;

    My conclusion is that this man (and most of the people he surrounds himself with) is unqualified, hubristic in outlook, and lacks experience, judgment, and the wisdom that comes from accomplishment and the school of hard knocks.

    We are in serious trouble.

    I read alot and watch very little TV. I read Freddoso’s book “The Case Against Barack Obama” around August 2008 I think.

    The one thing that stuck out was Annenberg. Aside from the fact he was working with Bill Ayers is that was his single gig as a lead executive. The goal was to improve test scores for Chicago school kids. BHO failed and spent the money his project was allocated carelessly. Kinda like he’s doing now…failing and spending carelessly.

    Keep ‘em cleaned and ready :-)

    This guy is a real fucking genius isn’t he. In January I had clients finally (after 6 months) looking into starting new projects and moving forward with projects that were tabled after the SHTF during last summer.

    Now in less than two months this retard has got everyone puckering their collective assholes again scared to death of what is next. I can’t wait till the IRS tax projections come out for next year and these retards realize that the tax base has completely dissipeared, then that $250k mark will be revised to a modest $40k and then we can truly WELCOME BACK the Carter 70′s all over again. Everytime I see this POS the theme song from Welcome back Carter runs through my head.

    Anyone know where I can get a good used Datsun 280Z with an 8-track? Time to blow the dust off of my Air Supply collection and see if I still have the moves.

    I know this is off the subject, But how do you put a picture next to your name?

    The US Marine saluting Obama probably has more real accomplishments than the empty suit President.

  • M@ von Kamrath

    With all that he’s fucked up in his short time, it worries me what the tipping point is going to be. At some point these assclowns in the media are going to turn against him. Whats it going to take though?

    Just as the markets find their bottom so too do politicians. A stronger voice will overwhelm Obama in 2010, the midterm election will knock him out in Congress and the Senate. Obama has proven to be the medicine this country needed, not for his abilities but rather his inabilities, demonstrating clearly to the American people why we have three branches of government. Unfortunately for all Americans there were no solid characters running for office, no uniter, just retreads and the Karate Kid. In the end this country is too big to change quickly, most of the spending occurs in 2011, we can only hope that the purpose of loading up the front end of his term in office while he has Congress is the result of knowing 2010 is approaching.

    I’ll also throw out that Hillary’s appointment is the direct result of Obama accepting and promoting the first tier of “Hillary Care”.

    You bunch of whiners, quit looking at the 651,000 jobs lost, and appreciate the fact that he just created 25 jobs in ohio at the cost of 787 billion.

    Believe and in your faith you can see the good and not the bad.

    Doh, typical bait and switch Brobonics….(Obama’s version of ebonics)

    We will do what we can do and when we do it we we must hope we can do it. You asked for change and we can do it and when we do it you will know we can do it. Hope for change..

    If ob had bailed out the citizens, we would never be in this mess.
    All he would have needed to do is give every taxpayer 100,000 dollars.
    The bailout wouldnt have even gone into the billions.

  • That one dude

    Bring on the Depression.

    The emergency sign it now or else money is not out there. It is needed to provide pork in districts prior to the the 2010 and 2012 campaigns. Blame it on the republicans!

  • deathstar

    People are going to get pissed off at his soaring rhetoric when its the only thing he has to offer in the face of the economic collapse he caused.

    Have you all seen this yet?

    “Astute Bloggers caught this from The NY Times:

    President Obama declared in an interview that the United States was not winning the war in Afghanistan and opened the door to a reconciliation process in which the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the Taliban, much as it did with Sunni militias in Iraq.”
