Beck: “We Surround Them”

Mar 15, 2009 65 Comments ›› Pat Dollard

MsUnderestimated did a hell of a job grabbing this program for us. Please take the time to watch, especially if you missed the FNC presentation(s).

H/T MsUnderestimated Captions:

Yesterday, Glenn Beck hosted his live-studio-audience special, “You Are Not Alone.” Watch parties were scheduled and held all over the United States, and even in Iraq at some of the bases. I was delighted to be a part of a watch party in Marietta, GA with over 100 people in attendance. It was electrifying, and I was so happy to see the turnout – and that I was not alone anymore. We need to get b More..ack to our 9 Principles and 12 Values to take our country back.

We plan to schedule future meetings to further Glenn’s new “The 9.12 Project,” based on who we were on 9/12/01. We all knew what to do without anyone having to tell us. We just knew how to come together and help one another. We’ve lost that, and now we vow to get that back.

  • JI

What watch party? Never heard of it.
    I dont watch tv.
Its nice to see our troops involved, their news is so filtered.

  • vonKamrath

Thanks MsUnderestimated and drill for posting this

  • Bouke60

Thanks for posting, and Glenn’s right. Are you awake?

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

Were you at the party in Marietta, GA last night, Bouke?

  • Jon

Just watched the rebroadcast on Fox last hour, since I’m a free market, self employed guy who was working yesterday. I sent my picture in way back when…. let’s show the high tech leftists that we can muster a tech based grassroots movement too, a really big one.

  • TBinSTL (just typical)

People all over “our” side of the net are talking smack about Beck getting choked up during this. I will always accept a man who tears up when he talks about our Country and the patriots that defend her.

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

Amen… I think people are so cynical anymore, that when they see a genuine person they don’t believe them. I think that was what happened with Sarah Palin, and what is happening with Glenn from our side.

Glenn is the REAL DEAL, and I’ll kick ANYBODY’S ass who says otherwise.

    • Syndromeofadown

A cynic is a man, that when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.” –H.L. Mencken

    • mikeindallas

I agree. I was a blubering baby during some of this show and it is because we truly FEEL our country slipping away and Glenn is able to put the way we feel into words and hold it up for all of us to see that in fact, we are NOT alone. I don’t know if anyone saw Shepard Smith making fun of Glenn but it pissed me off so much I could pound the guys face in.

I believe Beck. I think he is the real deal or a VERY VERY good actor and I doubt he is an actor.

  • http://www.operatorchan.org Hughes_dePayens

That was pretty good, he needs to stop being such a pussy and quite the tearing up.

    • Syndromeofadown

Yeah, he needs a game face.

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

And just what is wrong with tearing up? I love my country so much, too, that sometimes I cry for her. I also cry in reverence when I’m in the company of our troops. Let Beck be Beck.

    • TBinSTL

Ugh! Me Army strong! ugh! Me no cry, me beat meat.
If you’ve got the stones, you don’t have to announce it, you live it.

    • http://www.operatorchan.org Hughes_dePayens

It does some kinda hokey/weak for him to start crying every few seconds.
And yes, i don’t cry, not even at funerals.

    • mikeindallas

Some of us are made different. Controlling your emotions dosen’t make you better. I will admit that not being able to control your emotions makes it tough though. I can’t help it. I love my country so much and feel it with so much emotion that it is hard not to show it….I’m not saying that make sme better or worse, just different.

    • American Woman

Wow hughes, you must really be a tough guy and not to cry at funerals? Thats something to beat your cheat at. A real man is comfortable at showing his feelings and watching the greatest country on earth slide into marxism is something to be very upset over. If you love something/someone/someplace why not give it the respect they deserve. I cried during the show when he talked about our country and 9/11. That brings back such raw emotions for me and millions more. You are who you are. We need more people in this country who love this country with all their heart and not afraid to show it. He has not been trained to control emotions

    • Syndroeofadown

I see the emotional thinkers are here.

  • defcon1

TBinSTL – you sure they are on “our” side ? Seems like they need to snap out of it. We need more people like Beck… been a fan since 2003.

    • TBinSTL

As you can read above and below, even here, some people would rather beat their chests in some sort of dominance display like fucking apes than accept a heart felt pledge from somebody that wants to be their ally.
Some people need to get their heads out of their asses and figure out who their friends are. If somebody is crying while he’s pulling the trigger, I’ll just shut my yap and thank him for PULLING THE FUCKING TRIGGER! We are going to need all the friends we can get here pretty soon.

    • German Dragon

      Amen, TBinSTL. Double AMEN.

  • Frank S

I went to a Glenn Beck watching party here in Rochester NY,I was shocked to see over 150 people there,it is nice to know there are so many on our side.Glenn Beck is for real and really loves our Country,God Bless Him.

  • displaced chedhead

Whenever I talk about Glenn Beck I always qualify my statement with some blather of “I’m not as wacky as Glen” or “not as far out as Glen” (as I did when I spoke on the Jihadi Killer Hour) but those days are past. Your damn right I care.
This is America, a $500 check might be nice for a week but that’s not what made us who we are.
To let a bunch of communist hippy wannabe intelectuals take over our great country with mumbo jumbo double speak is sinful.
    I’m a 9-12′er. 71 Edgewater Drive, Chambersburg PA.
Tony J Hall. Knock on my door and we can talk, start a revolution, or just knock back a few and lean on each other. That’s my America.

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

      Amen, D.C.

I’m a 9-12′er, too. I’m at 801 Downsby Ln. in Woodstock, GA. My door is always open to fellow 9-12′ers. We’re all we’ve got.

    • Scoot

  • http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=89280654 DEVILDOG81MM

i’m not exactly buying into this yet, this is only occurring because these same people have lost or are worried about losing MONEY

patriotism is for the few, money is for the rest

what’s that picture pat had on the site way back, marines are at war and america is at the fucking mall

  • displaced chedhead

    DEVILDOG81MM
I understand your reluctance, let me assure you, I did my 22 years in the US Army. Been in the shit in Central America 82-84, Desert Storm 90-91, Somalia 94, Bosnia 98 and pre positioning OIF 02.
    It’s not about money.
It’s about the 9 principles and 12 values that I live my life by. So many people don’t serve their country like we have and these are new precepts that humans yearn for. Share your values with the unknowing.
Structure is the most important element in human behavior, you have attained that, share it with your neighbors. When you relate your self discipline and patriotism to others they normally respond positively. That is all this is about.
We all love our country, some gave all, all gave some.

    • TBinSTL

Thank you for being wiser than I. I tend to just start shouting when I should think first. Well done.

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

Right on, chedhead… Love you brother.

    • American Woman

      You rock

  • AZRobert

Screw the democrats and screw the republican party since it has turned into liberal lite with hip hop steele heading things up.

I’m registering for the “912 Party” and voting all the d’s and r’s out from now on!!!

    Long Live the 912 Party!!!

  • John H

9-12er?……As I recall most 9-12ers were fickle shallow people who rode an emotional high and then turned their backs on the troops once the “War On Terror” show on Tv got boring for them. Flag waving and patriotism is fine and dandy, but clearly the majority of Americans today neither have the gut check fortitude, nor the real life experince of any sort of REAL adversity to appreciate what they have or what it cost. How about a July 4th 1776ers?….

If this country wants to reignite it’s soul it will have to go back a helluva alot further then 9-12-2003 perhaps to a time where it still beleived in divine providence, and moral, and ethical living.

I fear that America NEEDS hard times, and deserves them, and perhaps only once we suffer a little bit will we be ready to take back up the mantle we have soiled.

    • Blade Runner

John, you need to go back a bit farther than 2003.
In any case the only relationship the 9.12 project has with 9-12-2001 is that on that day and for a short time thereafter, confused and unbelieving Americans came together to express a collective outrage for what happened. And in that momentary lapse of differences is the seed atom of the 9.12 Project. Now it is time for all decent, God fearing Americans, patriots all, to reaffirm within their hearts and those of their families and friends the 9 principles and 12 values upon which this nation was founded and for which so many have given their lives to defend.

P.S. A man who cannot shed a tear has no heart.

  • Chicago Bob

Just got done watching TAKING CHANCE, great movie good job done by all. Of course I cried like a kid, makes me want to re-up(Query? Would the CORPS take a 62 yr. old REMF JAG Officer back in). GOD I LOVE MY COUNTRY, MY RACE and MY FAITH.
Just remember all it takes for evil to suceed, is for GOOD MEN to do NOTHING. I’m not going to sit by and let some commie punks run me or my life. We DO surround them and it’s time to organize and prepare.
    GOD BLESS AMERICA
    SEMPER FI

  • kitkat

I went to the meeting in OKC and we had 120 people filling a Mazzio’s to watch Glenn’s program. Then we stayed an hour to talk. Not a bad turnout since we showed up at 3:30 for the 4:00 showing and many are still working. There are many of us that want to get together and do something just like 9-12 we are coming together. Like the “Field of Dreams” if you make it, they will come. Glenn has started something that will grow. The principles and values will work against the left’s ‘diversity’. Look the politicians in the eye and see what princples and values they stand for not ‘talking points’, if they do not convince you have those principles and values, find someone who has principles encourage them to run for office. This will be our grass roots movement. But, Glenn knew starting this that we had to find our voice because just like “Rush Just The Start”… Glenn may not be there forever and he has a target on his back. I don’t mind that he sheds tears because I’ve listened to him on radio for some time and he has really cared, speaks out, and shows it. God Bless him. My ‘kitchen table’ is open to those who are interested and we will speak up and do our part. I love my country and all those who fight for her. Again, you guys/gals here are fantastic. The “Remnant” pieces were great!

  • http://www.thebandofmothers.com Beverly Perlson

Everyone was a Patriot on 9/12. Everyone cheered my Son and all the SOldiers as Heroes as they signed up right and left to defend their country. Remember?
Then the bleeding heart liberals turned their backs on these Heroes in the middle of the fight. These spineless takers up of space, these slackers, are not representative of the America we know and love.

The Beauty of Glenn Beck is his abililty to bring us all together in one spot, in one moment of time, and that is all it takes to get that first shot off and heard round the world!

  • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

Guys, I’ve started a “We Are 9/12′er” social network. Please go here and join.

    http://weare912ers.ning.com/

I will add state chapters tomorrow, as it’s getting late tonight. We have to keep this thing going. We must not fail, we must not falter, we must take our country back!!!!

    • Nanny

      MS

Thanks for the site – I joined and found a group in my area in Michigan and plan on becoming involved. I think Glenn may be thinking about a march on Washington DC on 9/12/09 and I would be the first one to lead a caravan out of Michigan to attend. It is time “We the People” start to let Washington know that WE, THE PEOPLE, MEAN BUSINESS!!!

    • Scoot

      We join up too!

    • grumpy mechanic

      I’m in MsU.
Don’t know what I have to offer, but I’m passionate about taking our country back.
I guess we’ll all figure it out as this thing develops.
      I’m ready for action.

  • Steve Rogers

    Drill & Ms.U,
Thank you for posting the special. I’m out of the country and can’t get Fox News. I’ve been dying to see this program.

    I loved it!

  • http://cclevel.vox.com cclezel

We attended the viewing party in our town and they had so many in attendance that the overflow filled a second bar.

  • Vanessa

I watched this on the internet it was good.

  • md_vet

I just can’t help but wonder…Like most of us here, I’m feed up, disgusted, spittle spewing pissed off, and frustrated. But, we here are the exception, not the rule. Todays “American” wants instant gratification, immediate results. One march or protest, then off to McDonalds and the mall for them.

I fear that only another catastrophic event with the magnitude of 9-11 or worse will get the dumb asses that elected this administration to see the light. And by then it probably will be too late; of coarse it will still be Boooosh’s fault too.

I’ve followed the progress (actually non-progress) of the voices of reason on many blogs and websites throughout the election. I gritted my teeth listening to Allen Colmbs chirp his demented talking points, groaned as O’Reilly waxed on about teleprompter-jesus smarts and intelligence, railed at pundant after pundant without the guts to even approach the birth certificate/legitimacy issue.

So now comes GB trying to awaken the sleeping giant…can it be done, or is the giant to catatonic to be revived?

    I wonder…. :?:

    • German Dragon

The sleeping giant can be awakened. I’m convinced there are many who are trying. Pat is one. I am another, following in Pat’s example.

    • Nanny

I too am very skeptical of what can be done by the average citizen and I am beginning to hate every politician in the US, State of Michigan and my hometown. None of them have a pair to stand up and defend Rush, stop the earmarks, stop the pork, stop the spending. I am sick of it and we as average, everyday, go to work, pay our bills citizens need to step up to the plate. Along with Glenn and the 912 project we also need to start joining the tea parties going on and GET IT ON THE NEWS!!! Instead of protesting on govt. property go to the TV stations and radio stations and bring these MSM to their knees and force them to report our disgust with these politicians. Put a dent in the MSM and their advertisers and we will start to be heard. For instance, go surround NBC studios in NYC with about 10-20,000 people and don’t let anyone of the jerk asses leave the building until they report what it is about. The ruckus would send all the others to find out what is going on and at least get it front and center for a newscast where the kool aid drinkers can see we mean business!

The issue is that NYC, Washington and the Beltway is dictating to the rest of the country and we have to let everyone know that the east coast does not speak for the rest of us. There are a lot of us out here and we just need to be heard LOUDLY! The only way to do that is make the EAST COAST liberals hear what the rest of the USA thinks. The politicians put themselves in a cocoon in Washington and become deaf and we need to give them a BIG FUCKING hearing aid!!!

It can be done and I thank Glenn Beck for his passion and wisdom – he is the real deal as well as Michelle Malkin and the Tea Parties!

In the words of Todd Beamer from Flight 93 – “Let’s Roll” and take this country back!!!

  • Hawkerdriver(Piss on the Koran)

Just because his passion for this cause leaks through a little bit doesn’t mean he is a pussy.Just the opposite if you ask me. It’s real. It’s honest.I believe the man is genuine.Hell,he took a gamble to leave cnn and come to Fox.I saw his program the other day when he was talking about his battle with alcohol and other substances.Been there, done that myself. It takes alot of honesty to be comfortable talking about those things.

I think the old boy is on to something here. We’ve got to have a voice.Let’s not silence this one with analyzing just yet.

    Get some, Glen :!:

    • Nanny

I don’t care if Glenn cries a freekin river – I cry EVERY time I hear our national anthem because I LOVE my country and shed those tears proudly to HONOR those who have served and given their lives to protect me and my family. There is nothing wrong with shedding a few tears to show how much you love something – male or female!

  • Hawkerdriver(Piss on the Koran)

    md_vet,

The birth cerificate issue is THE MOST important issue of our time. That’s why there is the most silence.Whatever the mame of the cause we get involved with, lets make THAT the focal point.

BTW,is that you Col. B.? If so, I think we used to be neighbors at MCAS Cherry Point.

  • md_vet

    Hawkerdriver

No I.m not your ex-neighbor but was nearby at MCAF New River.

  • unkaglen

I have been following this guy for the past couple of years, and I feel he is the real deal.He is just as sick of the fucks in D.C. as we all are.
He has the power and convictions to be a great asset in the war against the NEOMARXIST who currently holding power in Washington……….

  • md_vet

I agree that Beck seems to be genuine in his beliefs and the effort he’s making. I just have to wonder how long Fox will tolerate his rabble rousing, especially if the ratings slide some. It’s been rumored that all the big conservative stars were muzzled about the birth cert.issue by Fox top management.

You know…the BC issue has me shaking my head. It’s like watching a ball hit out of the park to win the World Series being declared the final out by the umpires, thus giving the other team the win. When something is so glaringly obvious, and yet ignored, you know the fix is in.

Question…can Senators and/or Congress-critters be recalled by the electorate? If so, maybe targeting a few big wigs with a HUGH campaign against them could strike some fear in the rest of them. I don’t think we can fight them all at once, but isolating one or two and getting them removed or at least being made to fight for their political life can send a message. The only thing they understand and hold precious is their ability to get reelected and hold office.

    Just a thought…

  • Jon

Just joined the group, MsUnderestimated. I’ll invite a bunch of folks.

    • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated

Thank you, Jon… Be patient as I build the site and the state Chapters.

  • Larry In NC

Saw the re-broadcast on Saturday. Probably the most powerful show I’ve ever seen on TV.

My wife and I will get involved in this project.

  • Larry In NC

    MsUnderestimated…signed up. Thanks!!

  • http://www.effldirect2.com EDinTampa

went to a viewing party here in Tampa, was very rewarding and believe me, we surround them is real.

Beck is for real, sincere. I know the tears flow to easily at times and gets on the nerves of the non-crier, but when a heart felt hurt pulls the tear stream, it is best to let it go.

  • just posting

I will watch this when i get off work.

 TB: Crying is ONLY a weakness, if you give up in the face of adversity and start crying. Any other time it is an external display of one’s passion and emotion. Talking shit about someone because they cried with NO regard to context makes you The asshole, not the guy who you were laughing at.

  • Mike Mose

The tears are real, I gets a lump in my throat the size of a baseball at the National anthem at the Cards game.

When it comes to a nuts cutting time, I’ll support every man and woman tears or not.

My GOD we live in Amazing times.

Chedhead, I served 12 months as a grunt in Vietnam and an additional 6 months as a Huey doorgunner. I served my country then and if I need to serve again to save her from what the messiah and his brownshirts are doing, then count me in. The Mrs and I are armed and ready. BTW, we are not rednecks or hicks, we’re just real Americans like you and all that post hear.

Saw this post yesterday and thought of leaving a note or two
 Syndromeofadown- “A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.”-Oscar Wilde. I first heard that on Bill Bennett’s “Morning in America.” His radio show was eventually bumped by Glenn’s.

Becks emotional nature reminded me of a character in “The Gathering Storm” HBO movie about Churchill/Britain in the years prior to WWII- Ralph Wigram, said to have been credited as being the man who first warned Winston of Germany’s re-armament and policy toward the Jews. The man had bouts of depression and very likely committed suicide (instead of a pulmonary hemorrhage as stated on his death cert.) in 1936 but working in the Foreign Office gave him access to what was going on in Germany in the 1930′s.

All of this talk is great. Now let’s get mobilized and take back our great country. Throw the whores out and chase them over a cliff. Do what they do in Chicago, vote and then vote a few more times.
