Birth Certificate Bill Submitted To Congress

I am noticing there is a snide snort going on, even on the right, in reaction to all the questions surrounding Obama’s missing birth certificate.

However, every time I hear someone waving it off I am hauntingly reminded of the Rathergate forged Bush documents that were taken, and by some still taken, so seriously as to his alleged “missing time” from the Air National Guard …

Rep. Bill Posey, a freshman Republican from Florida, introduced a bill yesterday mirroring proposed state legislation in Missouri and elsewhere that stems from fringe doubts about Obama’s eligibility for office.

The full bill text isn’t yet available, and Posey’s spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but here’s a summary:

H.R. 1503. A bill to amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee’s statement of organization a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution; to the Committee on House Administration.

Though Posey’s spokesman wasn’t available, a Feb. 13 letter from Posey to a constituent on the subject appears on a website pushing the story in which Posey noted that courts and Hawaii officials had rejected the claims, but didn’t state his own view on the subject.

As you know, there were several lawsuits filed after the election challenging President Obama’s eligibility to serve as President of the United States. On December 8, 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court overwhelmingly decided that it would not hear an emergency appeal that claimed Mr. Obama is not a natural-born citizen. The Health Director and Head of Vital Statistics for Hawaii has examined and declared the authenticity of his birth certificate as well.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, Senator Obama was elected to the office of President of the United States, and the House leadership has certified his votes. While I may not see eye-to-eye with President Obama on many issues, I will work with him on the issues we do agree upon. I will not, however, compromise my conservative principles as Congress works with the incoming administration to address the critical issues facing our country. I believe these conservative principles are essential to protecting and restoring the liberties that have made and will continue to make America a great nation and a beacon of light to the world.

    Each year my son has to show his ORIGINAL birth certificate just to sign up for Little League. Not a copy, but the ORIGINAL. To play baseball.

    As a kid.

    He has been playing for eight years. Everyone knows him. And he still has to show it.

    And he only commands an army of plastic 54mm. toy soldiers.

    The problem with the Supreme Court is that the only teeth it has to enforce its opinion is its own reputation. The Court can’t force anyone to abide by its rulings. Even if it did demand Obama’s birth certificate, Obama could stonewall all he wanted without negative consequences. Only the people’s negative reaction to this would force Obama’s hand (assuming the people presented an armed revolt). The media, however, has that covered – being the experts of spin, they could easily make the end of civilization seem like a good thing.

    Anyone going to point out this is a Certificate of Live Birth, and not the Birth Certificate?

    IMHO…They have no idea if Obama meets the requirements, it never crossed anyones mind someone that wasn’t a citizen would try to become President.

    There is no process of verification, it is a requirement in the Constitution and it was just a given that people would abide by the rules.

    I am betting there is no legal requirement…..at least for those that believe the Contitution is just an old scrap of paper…and that is their get out of jail pass.

    I think we now know why the Secretary of States staff was caught looking into Obama passport records.

    So we are trusting our lives, our security and our country on the information submitted by Annebergs FactCheck.org………..I believe the DNC, RNC, NSA and the FBI would have been much better sources.

      factcheck is not a reliable source, Bill bombing Aryes is on the board of annenberg foundation which runs factcheck :shock:
      It was heavily used during the campaign to debunk and ‘fight the smears’ of Obongo

    Face It, Obama’s not going to produce an Original, or even the copy in Hawaii.

    It will be an “Authentic Original” created just in time for the media show.

    Removal of Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Ried/et al by the military is the only way to secure our liberty from these traitors.

    looky here, his technical czar just got busted and he MAKES FAKE BIRTH CERT.s

    Beside the BC issue, he was adopted and at that time indoneasia did not honor duel citizenship. period he was alos registered as a muslim and indo citizen
    and what about when he traveled to pakistan in the eighties, from what I understand at that time americans were not open to travel there.

    The bill should read as of the year say 2000, this bill goes into effect.
    We have to keep pressing the issue or it will die.

    Ummmm….this smokescreen keeps being put out, but note that it means NOTHING other than there’s “something” on file….now wtf does this thing on file say??

    It will have the hospital and the doctor listed.

    Now produce the damn birth certificate Soetoro…if you’re father is not an American citizen or if you were not born on American soil, you are a USURPER and we will frogmarch your traitorous ass out of our White House.

    This is ridiculous…..let’s roll.

    The only definition for NBC the framers were aware of was that of Vattel’s. NBC = born in country to 2 citizen parents.

    And no, IMO he wasn’t born in HI. He would have release that proof long ago if that were available. That’s the easy part, and the part that would pacify the sheeple of the country.

    Still doesn’t take away from the fact, though, that he would not have been considered NBC by the framers. That’s the hard part, as most of the citizens in this country have no idea of their history or how it came into being.
