Tonight I’m very pleased to have my brother in Iraq War filmmaking arms Jake Rademacher as our very special guest tonight on “The Jihadi Killer Hour”. Join us for the once-in-a-lifetime story of this actor turned spontaneous documentarian as he set out to discover the truth about the Iraq War that he was hearing from his brothers in the fight, but nowhere else. Jake will take your calls. The film is Executive Produced by Gary Sinise. Visit the website here.

Synopsis:

BROTHERS AT WAR is an intimate portrait of an American family during a turbulent time.  Jake Rademacher sets out to understand the experience, sacrifice, and motivation of his two brothers serving in Iraq. The film follows Jake’s exploits as he risks everything—including his life—to tell his brothers’ story.  Often humorous, but sometimes downright lethal, BROTHERS AT WAR is a remarkable journey where Jake embeds with four combat units in Iraq. Unprecedented access to U.S. and Iraqi combat units take him behind the camouflage curtain with secret reconnaissance troops on the Syrian border, into sniper “Hide Sites” in the Sunni Triangle, through raging machine gun battles with the Iraqi Army.  Ultimately, the film follows his brothers home where separations and life-threatening work ripple through their parents, siblings, wives and children.  BROTHERS AT WAR provides a rare look at the bonds and service of our soldiers on the frontlines and the profound effects their service has on the loved ones they leave behind.

    Great interview.

Heartwarming to know the documentary is being so well received. Jake is very endearing. The documentary is evocative, honest, real, humorous, heartbreaking, & deeply moving.

Gary Sinise has been doing alot of interviews these past two weeks: radio, tv, print. He’s not a celeb who has just lent his name to the project, he’s truly passionate about this story.

This is a documentary that celebrates the courage and integrity of the American Soldier and the American military family. It is also a film about a man’s love and respect for his two brothers and his dedication to telling their story. A great film that I am proud to be a part of.” -Gary Sinise, Actor, Presidential Citizens Medal Recipient

Would love to see Brothers at War make its St. Louis debut at the Cinema St. Louis International Film Festival in November. This is a big deal in the midwest; a major focus of this festival is promoting independent films, and having new directors attend and discuss their films.

Mr. Sinise and Mr. Rademacher. My wife and I were among the first to see the movie in Scottsdale Arizona. It brought tears to my wifes eyes. She is a Navajo and she knows the sacrifices. I am preparing for my first deployment. I am in the Arizona National Guard and I noticed that you were with Guardsmen. We are not just weekend warriors, we are professionals. This movie gave my wife an insight as to what I will be getting into. Just like one of the soldiers said “I would give my life for America anytime, no questions asked”. I thank you for the movie, the truth and honesty. Some people think I am too old (54) to be going over but I am also a Vietnam era vet. Air Force 1973-1975 and in the Marines 1975-1985. Now the Arizona Army National Guard. Time to do it again.
    Once again gentlemen, Thank you.
