CiC Vs. CiC: You Decide
In just over a month a completely different country is mutating … but that’s the bottom of the page …
One sent them into bloody wars and told them it was going to be horrific and there couldn’t be a timeline or date for ending it.
One said he would bring them out of “harms way” , then saying this about them in the next breath:
and also promised to empty that small prison facility on an island off mainland Cuba of all the poor misunderstood and ‘tortured’ bloodthirsty terrorist thugs THEY fought so hard, and some dying in the process, to capture and put there, not to mention stop being so ‘mean’ to terrorists for crucial information, by way of granting them pretty much the Constitutional rights the very troops fight to preserve for … us, their targets.
One made a continual point of meeting with the wounded in hospitals … outside the camera view and media circus, for the 8 years he deployed them to countries and into situations that cost them life and limb.
One didn’t want to waste his time in Germany if he couldn’t have his cameras present.
One fought to keep funding and rebuilding an inherited gutted military during two wars.
One wants a 10% cut from the DOD, and is looking to at least a 25% cut, if not more, while ‘promising’ this:
I’d say “proven missile defense system” … But that’s just little old me.
Now, I realize there are two different settings presented in the video below … and granted ‘protocol’ maybe a bit more relaxed and less formal ‘in theater’ than in a stateside “base” location (however, I have seen very similar receptions for Pres. Bush in stateside base appearances as the one in Anbar) … but MAN! just look at their faces for Pete’s sake! Says it all!
So in 4, or God forbid 8, years do you think the current CiC will be received in this manner (keeping in mind the CiC presented here had sent these troops into war and many in their ranks either were KIA or sent home to completely changed lives) … after ‘bringing them all home out of harm’s way’?
Our military, no matter which branch, are NOT fools and idiots. They are dedicated, and know and are committed to their jobs and missions. “Harm’s way” is where they punch the clock. They also more than appreciate the concise and clear decisions a CiC with convictions makes … no matter how hard and unpopular with the political yakking-heads. They can tell a strong leader by that and by his refusal to blame them for anything. Our military thrives on respect.
Now, with all that is going on within our very own country and our ever growing government control outside their intended Constitutional role in our nation, is it any wonder we are now seeing this?

I know what the Marines and Soldiers I talk to are saying, in addition to vets who are also in close contact with active military.
Which is probably why the current “CiC” has plans for this:

I served and retired under W and he signed my Certificate Of Thanks from the American People for my service. My wife recieved her thank you from Laura. I cherish these items and they hang front and center on our I Love Me Wall of our home.

Bush was always happy and comfortable in the presence of excellence, he had so much respect and compassion for our armed forces.
Every thing Ofuck does is just made for TV, he needs the music, and theater to try and impress.
Bush just showed up to impress, he is substance over style and our military know this first hand.
My friend will not retire under Ofuck because as chethead said he does not want the Os signiture on his papers. He has not served 20 years to leave under disrespect.
How dare him to cut funding while at war.
