They should legalize pot…But most of these people who are here saying ohhhhh it helps me with my pain are just trying to justify it to themselves their lack of discipline, they probably haven’t been sober in ages. Smoking pot all the times makes you unmotivated and slows down your brain. Smoking once in a blue moon is fun though.
While I no longer smoke the stuff (quit a year before getting pregnant with my first child … 25 yrs ago … cigarettes too) I made a small purchase a couple years ago.
My Aunt/Godmother was dying of late-stage esophageal cancer … starving to death from lack of appetite and pain.
While she still died … I took comfort in knowing I provided her with a little comfort during that soul-crushing time.
My only regret is that I couldn’t do the same for my Uncle/Godfather (a former 82nd AB paratrooper) who begged me for some from his nursing home bed … several months ago before he died.

Damn.
What is up with California.
That California congressman at the beginning is a freak, and he represents the whole state.

Did the weed help your auntie’s appetite? Do you think it helped her get better, or just eased her to the other side more pleasantly?
She was able to eat a little, and it helped her relax and eased the nausea.

I thought so too Terry.
I have no problem with marijuana. Dont use it myself.
BUT they should have laws for using too much.
I know brilliant guys who used it A LOT.
Their minds are gone. They can barely function. They are in lala land permanently.
Just like any sedative, if you need to use it, you already have a problem.
I do not condone illegal drug use, or illegal usage of Rx drugs.
My cousin who was like an older brother to me (the one who had me surfing in my youth) burned out his brains on LSD in the 1970s. Right now he’s no more than a 10 year old in his mind.
But I have no problems with pot being used for people with legit medical problems. As a matter of fact, pot is far less troublesome than the some of the other more powerful meds typically used.

If it’s addicting it should be banned.
If it’s not, consider legalization, taxing, and even though it’s legal you can’t just light up/use it anywhere, you can’t go to work high, you should get fire/in trouble/arrested for doing it in public.
Taking pot for aches/pains it bullshit, there are many negative side effects. (paranoia being one of the more noticeable ones, hence why a so many potheads buy into whacked out conspiracy theories)

I say if someone wants to screw themselves up let them. Just make sure Uncle Sugar gets his piece no different then alcohol or anything else we do that has no positive effect.

I mean we as Americans I don’t touch weed or anything harder than alcohol

Well, I’m of two minds about it. First, for years upon years marijuana has been called a gateway drug for a reason. Second, our nation already has a problem with moral degeneration and doesn’t need another item added to the things attributing to it.
And finally, people will still buy it illegally because they don’t want to pay taxes on it.
That said, Americans have had mood altering substances since it’s inception. As long as the states keep abuses under control, I believe that legalization should be taken up and passed or failed by the States, as each sees fit.
