“The more I tell journalists I am getting a camera in my head, the more journalists ask if it is worse than surveillance society. We are sleep walking into a surveillance society and nobody cares. But if I say I am getting an eye camera people say it is ethically tricky.”

Computers are enabling amazing things with this exploration of Input/Output options.

The Blind will one day see. Experiments show that with implants directly to the brain, dot patterns can bee seen by blind people. This means they will one day have televised reality directly into their mind.

Rush Limbaugh is 100% deaf, yet he now hears using a cochlear implant.

Steven Hawking can not speak, yet gives lectures on Astronomy with his speaking word processor. He can not walk, yet drives his wheelchair to work every morning.

Double leg amputees with the use of computer designed prosthetics can run faster than someone with legs.

Computer controlled exoskeletons can give a weakling super human strength.

I am continually amazed by stories like these. However, I do see an amazingly dark Frankenstein side and misuse. The same thing applies to nanotech and biotech. There seems to be no stopping it, so I suppose I either need to embrace it or hide out in the hills until the nanobots come to eat me alive.
