Yes I did hear Rush say this yesterday and I was not one bit surprised. I signed up for Newt’s American Solutions when it first came out and did the web conferencing thing in its first nationwide discussion 1.5 years ago. Here is what I found…

Newt is nothing more than a political animal on a very very loose political ideology. He is a sellout to the Glowarming crowd and is IN FACT ONE OF THEM. He does apparently want nationalized healthcare and admitted to trying to tell Hillary how to get Hillarycare passed, but she would not listen and her attempts failed.

While he is long on history and political in fighting techniques, he is definitely short on conservatism.

Actually Dick Armey of Texas was the real architect behind the “Contract with America” not Newt.

BTW Armey has been behind a flat tax, rather than “fair” tax for a few decades now. Former Reagan aides who were expats of Eastern European nations have returned when the USSR failed, got the flat tax installed and Katie bar the door their economies took off like rockets.
