There is no link between conservatism and sexual perversion. Maybe more conservative states have higher, if slightly higher as kiran said, than other states, but our states do not have the highest rates of prostitution, sex clubs, strip clubs, adult video stores, or homosexual populations. We have the least of these, so if some conservative states, as kiran generalizes, have higher rates of internet porn usage, it statistically means nothing to the overall sex trade.

Conservatives, most anyway, believe that anything taken to excess is not good. Conservatives are not prudes, we are human and we sin, quite often I would say. For some, pornography is a vice, for others it is a nuisance and for the very religious it is revolting. Conservatives believe to various extents that pornography degrades morality and affects society in a negative way.

As far as INTERNET pornography being more prevalent in red states, I offer that to be true … BUT … the reason for that is many red states do not have large cities. Anyone who may want to view pornographic material would need to order it or view it online. That as compared to large cities (in mostly blue states) where pornography basically walks the streets everyday. In cities it is everywhere. Cities are filled with porn to the point people do not have to seek it, it is just there in their face, around every corner. So comparing blue states with red states in this regard is asinine.

I got my own views on Porn. One, don’t do it at work. It’ll cost you your job. So don’t be stupid.

Two. All Porn should be locked behind a portal that you have to pay a fee to access. So if you’re into that sort of thing…all you gotta do is pay your 29.95 a yr and you can get all you want.

It won’t keep children from it; but if they do get access to it, the charge will show up on Mom or Dad’s credit card statement and the parents can take it from there.

Be a good way to collect some taxes too. States are already collecting sales tax on goods purchased on the Internet. Might as well tax porn too. You sure as hell aren’t going to stop it…Limited access is a better way to deal with it IMHO.
