    Mr. Donahue is the artful dodger par excellence. Trying to debate with Donahue in a rational fashion is like trying to nail jello to the wall. That has been his method for decades. Overwhelm by obfuscation. The central point of whether or not the POTUS should receive an honorary degree from Notre Dame was totally avoided by him and the Father was right to call him on it.
    I wish I could call Donahue disingenuous and a complete fraud. However, I can only come to the sad conclusion that his outlandish and rambling beliefs are sincerely held. He is the epitome of the useful media idiot. Only he could link the highly dubious scientific value of embryonic stem cell research and the war in Iraq and make them morally equivalent. Or maybe Donahue is a walking equivocation. Either way, Phil, news flash -
    you’re not from Mars but much closer in: a genuine Moonbat lunatic.

      The good Father’s message holds true for Republicans as well as Catholics, don’t water down your principles. It won’t gain you new followers, it will simply alienate your base.

    The weakness of men doesn’t do anything to shake my faith in God. I consider my relationship with God to be completely different than anything related to human nature or the actions of others. I cannot control what others do, even in the name of God, and even if they say they represent me. We cannot control our politicians right now, yet we wouldn’t stop calling ourselves Americans. At least I wouldn’t.

    The thing I remember the most about the Phil Donahue show came back to haunt me as I watched the clip. Even as a young person I remember never seeing anything getting accomplished on the Donahue show. Donahue would moderate back and forth but no position was taken on anything. I found watching the show to be a complete waste of time.

    Donahue still wont take a stand for what is right. Pathetic.

    Oops time running short. Gotta get down to my daughters Catholic school to particapate in a dinner for her basketball team.
