I remember in 1975 somewhere off of Norway when we would get 3 Tu-95/142 visits a day. We also had a Kresta cruiser, Kashin destroyer and the inevitable trawler with a huge radome. This was onboard Independence CV62. In the Indian Ocean/Arabian Sea during the hostage crisis we got the Il-38 May's out of Somalia on a regular basis. Those russkies must have been busy with two Carrier Battle Groups in theatre. It's nothing new, well except to the obambozo. He will probably do a jimmy carter and tuck his tail and run.
