It is very encouraging to find a soldier who actually knows and upholds his oath. There is a problem with some soldiers who are swearing their allegiance and willingly violating what they swore to uphold. Let us all study the Founding Documents of this country, and stick to that foundation.

Hey Pat, let’s be careful about giving too much credence to the info at that passtheammo.com link. It’s quoting a PrisonPlanet article, and PrisonPlanet is the same Alex Jones site that willingly pushes 9-11 conspiracy theories (well, they’re more fiction than theories, but you get my drift), as well as that “FEMA Concentration camp” conspiracy madness. My point is that I’m not willing to trust what P.P. says about what our soldiers think until I see the raw data, methodology, and full context, because writers for that site are known to seriously misrepresent things to get their paranoid views across.
Research the topic friend. Don’t be so quick to pass off information because of its source. I know marines who are familiar and aware of the incidences.
First of all, Alex Jones is full of shit. End of story.
Next, emergency management is part of the federal government’s job description. When there is a disaster or some kind of civil unrest, that job is going to get done. The military is the primary instrument used to get that job done. And yes, that includes “restoring order” and civil affairs operations such as providing facilities for displaced persons, criminals and even “domestic terrorists.” It can also include confiscation of firearms. Being concerned about potentially getting caught up in that kind of situation is not paranoia or “conspiracy madness”–it’s common sense.
I trust this gentleman speaks for many of our men and women at arms.

True. The saying goes, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. Liberals act without thinking and it needs to stop. Even if their intentions are pure, at some point someone evil exploits them and collects power or causes others to suffer. Not all Democrats are liberal loons, some still believe in the words of our founding fathers … what I take offense to and am willing to defend against is the attempts to change those words, to pull the power out of the hands of the people.
The removal of our freedom has not and will not be a single event. It has been and will be a degredation of our freedom by passing laws against the Constitution. Our freedom has been trampled on hard and quick for the last 2 months, but it has also been degraded over decades and I believe we are getting to a tipping point where the words of our founding fathers is being lost or falling on deaf ears as most people under the age of 30 wouldn’t be able to pass the test for a LEGAL alien to become a citizen.
So, no, the gentleman in the video is not demented, Rob. He is just giving warning to be prepared. If or when our society, which takes care of it’s internal problems with civility, loses too much of its freedom then our society will degrade to violence. There is no civility without freedom as demonstrated all around the world and throughout history.

I have to agree with him Rob.
Sorry dudes that disagree. I’m hearing others say the same things that this Marine is saying. Only they’re saying it quietly. But the conversation is getting louder. I wouldn’t dismiss this guy as some kind of nut. He also speaks for me, many of my friends, both veteran and non-veteran.
Pay close attention to the news. The “R” word is being spoken and discussed in louder and louder crescendos.
The time is comming very soon, when everyone will have to pick sides. You’re either for the Constitution and our Democratic Republic or you aren’t.
The question is: are you willing to give up everything to defend it as our founders did?
I once swore an oath to do just that. I got no problem doing that again…
