My wife is Filipina. Maybe you would like to meet her, she is kind and gracious, the best thing that ever happened to me, a great wife and a wonderful mother. I couldn’t have asked for more. I was not in the military when we met, I DID NOT meet her on some BRIDES website and she was not desperate to meet some “Joe” to get her the fuck out of the Philippines. In fact, she is college educated, had a great job at a telecommunications company and was chosen for management training at the company she worked for. She probably had more to loose by coming here (leaving her family and a good job) to be my wife.

Having said that, she does love the U.S. and is thankful for the opportunities life in the U.S. has afforded her. She recently became a U.S. citizen and is a hard working taxpayer who gets disgusted when B.O. shows his face on TV.

We went through the immigration process and jumped through all the government hoops and paid all the government fees and I am sure we did not spend anything close to the amount that your uncle spent.

As for the Philippines, beautiful country, some gracious and good people and some real idiots…just like here. And just like here, the professional politicians have ruined everything.

The Filipinos don’t like them either since they not only try to shut down the bars and Videoke where hookers work but also support the Communist rebels.
