CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Seven employees at a state-run home for the mentally disabled have been suspended for allegedly staging a “fight club” among residents.

Corpus Christi Police Captain Tim Wilson says the fight clubs were uncovered when someone gave an off-duty police officer a cell phone containing videos of fights at the Corpus Christi State School.

Wilson says the videos show mentally disabled adult clients punching, shoving, and striking each other while the employees watch.

Wilson calls the abuse “appalling.” He says police expect to file charges against several employees by the end of the week.

The school opened in 1970 and is home to about 360 people, according to the Web site of the state Department of Aging and Disability Services.

    When you little kiddies grow up, I hope you never have children. Society put M. Vicks in jail for staging dog fights, I hope all these people get 10 years in jail. Hey guys may be your Mom’s can be on a fight video when they get old and defenseless and you can laugh at them.

    I don’t understand how someone can crack jokes about something as sad as this. People with that mental illness only know unconditional love for everyone. They hold a lot of the answers that we’ll never understand. Maybe those thoughtless a$$holes that think this is funny can learn something from these poor souls in Corpus Christi.

    I have an uncle who is developementally disabled. It just astounds me the kinds of fuckwits they get to take care of retarded adults. Its sad that this has to happen.

    There is definitly some humor in this. And anyways, who says they didn’t want to fight?? They probably felt alive as ever afterwards. Retarded people are not always nice though. I used to know a retarded person my age who would scream things like, “I’M GONNA BURN YOU!!” Then one day, he did indeed kill someone. Turns out the person he killed was just a figment of his imagination all along.

    Here’s the good news for all those losers who think this is funny. Special needs just doesn’t begin at birth. You could be in an accident tomorrow and then spend the rest of your life having a 24 year old incompetent aide wiping the drool from your chin while she calls you a retard, and there won’t be a damn thing you can do about it. Shame on you. Take down that picture you loser. That is another human being. He has a family who loves him. He deserves your respect, not to be mocked.
