Now, I would never, never want my child taped to a chair by someone else, but your child, now that’s a different question…..
Bwhaahahaahahhahaha, I kid, I kid. I make a little joke, but the mothers statement where she says her son tapes his brothers and cousins to chairs because he was taught that it was ok by an adult.
Does that mean that conversely the same logic could be used to surmise the reason her child was out of control in the classroom was that he learned to misbehave and act a like an untrained monkey while being supervised by his parents?
I’m not saying the teacher was right to do what she did, but I am asking a question that can cut both ways.
Surely, as a husband of a teacher and a parent of small children, I have seen teachers that simply aren’t cut out for classroom management, as this one appears to be, but I have also been witness to children who have simply never been shown any discipline whatsoever.
It’s a two way street, and while this teacher may be the exception to that, I think it is all too easily forgotten that parents have a responsibility to solve many of these problems by dealing with their children’s issues by actually spending time with them. At least enough to know what is going on with them.
Quick give me the duct tape.
This is why I could never be a teacher. Tape would quickly become my friend.
