The Meeting Of Minds: Olbermann And Maher Decide Beck’s Crazy

This is not a transcript, but a generalization of the panels thoughts on different people and subjects. Talk about lunatics! Real Time has that category sewn up.

Maher: Right-wingers are more dangerous when they’re out of power. Glenn Beck is so powerful, or else he wouldn’t give him the time of day. He’s a kook and a creep, and has a wild imagination.

Maher: Tim McVeigh said it was t More..his type of talking (Beck’s) that made him blow up the building in Oklahoma City.

Sorkin: Beck talked about FEMA concentration camps, so he’s nuts.

Olbermann: The guy who shot the pastor in the church in Tennessee said he did so because he was unable to kill all the liberals listed in Bernie Goldberg’s book.

Olbermann: Said he’s got nothing on Howard Beale compared to that guy (Beck). He’s a Father Codling (?) but with a crew cut. He (Beck) doesn’t even know what he’s saying.

Washington: If his crying and passion are not authentic, she wants to meet his acting coach.

Maher: Roger Ailes & Rupert Murdoch are responsible for putting Glenn Beck on the air.

Maher: Obama was right about right-wingers who are bitter and cling to their guns.

Washington: Beck is like a conservative Jerry Springer.

Washington: I love Pelosi because she got Republicans to vote for the 90% tax on AIG execs.

Sanders: The function of Fox is to divert attention away from the real issues and to get middle class people dealing with different issues. What Fox does is scare conservatives about the 2nd Amendment, which is totally unfounded.

Olbermann: Michael Wolf (bio of Murdoch) said there is no moral code guiding Fox – it’s all about how much money Murdoch could make, and that if they could turn 100% liberal and make money, Murdoch would do it in a heartbeat. Although Olby said he would never compromise his beliefs if he could make more money working for a conservative network (i.e., he can’t be bought). He says he knows this from personal experience that there are a couple of these guys at Fox News who are just salesmen, would go to the other side just for money, but says he would not himself. He said he already worked for them once, but it was just a bunch of crap. He said he has personally talked to Sean Hannity and noted Hannity said “isn’t this crazy that people think we’re enemies, but it’s just TV?” Keith says he just shrugged it off and that he’s never said anything on air he didn’t believe in. He said Beck doesn’t know what he believes in.

Sanders: The postive side of the economic disaster is people are really seeing the greed of the “ruling class” of the elite rich.

Olbermann: It is a nation about corporations and that we have to “roll back many of their liberties” and reign them in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excuse me… “roll back many of their liberties?” ROLL BACK THEIR LIBERTIES? O.M.F.G.
    We are a Nation founded on Freedom and Liberty.
    You can’t roll back the Liberties of corporations in a free enterprise system anymore than you can roll back personal Freedoms of the people, can you?
    Those that seek to deceive, misdirect, and hide the truth have only one weapon. Ridicule.
  • http://www.understandingrelationships.com Corey Wayne
    “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not traitor, he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.” – Cicero, 42 B.C.
    • Syndromeofadown (The dirty dirty Kafir)
      holy shit, that quote is fucking awesome.
    Truth goes thru three stages:
    1) Its ridiculed
    2) Its violently opposed
    3) Its accepted as self evident
    Funny how a 5PM time-slot show is making them go nuts. They wouldn’t be talking about Beck if he wasn’t striking a chord with average American people. He’s opening our eyes out to ensure we are seeing what’s going on. Not saying our eyes are closed, but you have to admit, there has been a lot of denial and non-action on the part of patriotic Americans everywhere.
    • German Dragon
      If this were the lead-up to an exorcism, Glenn Beck is the equivalent of a “religious provocation” to the demons possessing the Left. Identical response.
  • mike3481
    I’ll be fun to watch Maher’s reaction when Obama’s “Ox goring machine” gets around to him. :roll:
  • Syndromeofadown (The dirty dirty Kafir)
    Who would watch these assholes? Oh yeah, NOBODY.
    • Syndromeofadown (The dirty dirty Kafir)
      cynicism is easy, you don’t have to try to be good at it.
  • German Dragon
    “Olbermann: It is a nation about corporations and that we have to “roll back many of their liberties” and reign them in.”
    Okay, Obie, let’s start with YOUR rights. How about we reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine onto YOUR show — and Maher’s — with 50% of your airtime be given to Ann Coulter for “balance?”
    • Bob USMC
      :mrgreen: Oh no, they couldn’t have any of THEIR free speech rights taken from them. What a bunch of wimpy ass hypocrites, as if Olberman is so principled when he pats himself on the back. BWAHAHAHA!!
      Ever notice how these liberal dork shows never have anything remotely fair and balanced? The View (one vs 4), Chris Mathews (5 libs, 0 conservatives), and on and on….. While on Fox, there’s usually always an opposing viewpoint.
      Did anybody see even one conservative on there ever, much less an equal amount?
      Hypocrites!! And Maher is the biggest phukface hypocrite on there if you recall what he said about Cheney getting assassinated.
  • http://earthlink nomee1
    So says these two stupid assholes :roll:
  • kitkat
    GE stock is so low everyone should buy the stock until reaching 51% and that will take care of Obermann and show him ‘taking liberties of corporations’. As a body of investors we could own him; kick his ass and MSNBC. Beck has 162,000 in two weeks and growing. That’s a start. He wouldn’t know what hit him. We are smarter as well as having our guns and Bibles.
  • http://MsUnderestimated.com MsUnderestimated
    I am still just absolutely and profoundly stunned at the “roll back their liberties” comment. Is anyone else not completely aghast at that?
  • Bob USMC
    Liberals are a bunch of fascists.
  • JCD
    Liberals still get it all wrong. We don’t need to regulate corporations, we need to regulate banks. It is core to the success of any free nation with free enterprise to keep bankers under control, less through complex debt schemes they destroy our society like they are doing now. The money changes ARE the problem, not the people, not the workers, not the corporations.
  • JCD
    That should have been “money changeRs”…sorry.
  • dadeo
    This is how I envisioned the meetings went with my ex-wife’s divorce lawyers.
    The chasm between us and them is so vast that there will never be reconciliation. Two totally different realities.
  • mark
    I hate these people. I would rather all chaos engulfs America than see any of their ideas succeed. Olberman is a preppy dick weed from Hackley School in Tarrytown. He is the biggest polemicist on TV yet criticizes Beck for doing the same thing but with much better ratings. The senator from vermont is a communist from a state that hates its veterans and won’t let you drink a beer with a chaser at the same time. Bill Maher should just take a dirt nap along with the others.
  • Banger
    Have these twits, overbite and the jew hater read one of thier transcripts from an “average” show? They spew more idiocy and vitriol in the opening segment to the adjulation of their seal clapping trained mental midget audience members than Beck, Rush, The Great One or any other of these so called crrraaaaaazy right wingers do in a month. Which is why it has to be shctick because if it’s not the hypocrisy I just read, (I couldn’t watch the vid) is enough to not pay attention or let your blood pressure raise on point. Which Is why garbage like this doesn’t deserve any attention paid to it.
  • NMPatriot (AKA RacerRick)
    Oberwomann and Maher has an audience of liberals and atheists, what more needs to be said. Beck is whipping their asses in the ratings and the only response from those two loosers is to berate him. Brilliant….
    I wouldn’t piss on either of them if they were on fire.
    NMP
    • GRIZZ
      Sure you would.”Sweetheart get me and my friend a couple more beers,we are trying to work up a good piss to put out this bag of shit somebody set on fire”.There on me RacerRick
    Funny thing is, Maher stinks up the place so bad, that his show this season is on twice in the same night; 10PM and 11PM, back-to-back identical shows. Guess he has to do that so he can combine the viewers of both to make up the stat of “at least 67 people.”
