    They do have guns, but they have a bunch of bullshit laws about carrying and caliber. Thay can’t have a rifle more powerfull than a 44/40, and they can’t have a pistol more powerfull than a 9mm.

      Proper gun control and shot placement is key when restrictions like that are in place.
      I have more fear of an old man with one gun who likely knows how to shoot and hit his target.

    In India you see any empty land fenced to keep the squatters(activists) out. If they put a tent or any type of shack, Indian law gives them rights to that land and the owner will have a heck of a time getting it back. It looks like Brazil is going through the same thing.
    I heard that Chavez took over an American plant last month, why didn’t our administration do or say anything about that. Too busy being on the chavez book tour?

      First. the flag is the Farm Worker Union, same group that came out of the 60′s. Cisar Chavez was a total commie clown. At the time he had all leftys wanting to take over the farm and give them to the farm workers.

    I have some paltry knowledge of Peru, their Government, and their problems with the Left.

    :idea: Decades back, all a Peasant had to do was ‘plant a flag’ in some Ranchers property and it was theirs! :shock:

    Because of this Law, the once World renowned Peruvian Beef industry was reduced to a Peasant owned, inefficient joke and the Ranchers were bankrupt. The Peruvian Beef industry is still a ruin and a shameful state of affairs.

    Around the same time the Peruvian Government also decided it was not fair that the workers did not have ownership in the company they worked for.

    :idea: So, a law was made that gave 50% of every business to the workers who worked there.

    The result of this was, I knew someone that had a Hair Salon in Lima, a major Peruvian city. The owner of the Hair Salon had to give 50% of the business to the uneducated, illiterate woman who swept up the hair and cleaned the place. Due to her inability to understand business, and her greed, they ended up closing the business down and gave this Peasant woman 50% of all of the company’s assets.

    Half of this family’s life savings went to a Peasant who earned none of it on her own.

    :idea: Peru’s recently convicted Ex-President Fujimori actually stopped many of these kinds of Leftist ideas in Peru by suspending his government and firing ALL of the elected officials and held new elections.

    The United States condemned his actions at the time (Bush Senior?).

    But he and his brother, or something, were soon caught with their hands in the government money bag and sentenced to prison for theft. Fujimori ran away to Japan, and is either back now to serve his prison term or back to run for president again.

    Expect that kind of thing here soon. A Banana Republic in the making where the political party on the outs is imprisoned or killed.
