Communism and Nazism were two sides of the same fascist coin. The real struggle has never been Right vs. Left, but Freedom vs. Tyranny.
This might be a bit out of context, but…
Galatians 5
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
A.Garcia
Not at all out of context. Not talking about Gods word & freedom in Christ. Is exactly what they want, they have been pushing for years to separate God from us Americans. And look whats happened. Anti-Christ, Anti-Religion are fundamentals to any Marxists garbage.

Yes exactly, I never really understood why the Nazis and the Ru-coms were such bitter enemys, other than the emperialist land grab by the nazi’s.
It is sad that they teach you in high schools now that the Nazis were the far right equivilent to the modern far right conservatives. When the truth is they were socialist!! ITS IN THEIR NAMES!
This country is so far off track right now its not even funny.
We have alot of work to do, and it goes all the way down to re-revising the history books to get the FACTS back in them!

The difference between communism and national socialism cuts to the core of political ideology.
Communists are international socialists they opposes capitalism and nationalism.
National socilaists opposes international capitalism and international socialism.
The problem with this country today is the right doesn’t see the dangers of international capitalism and the left doesn’t see the danger of international socialism. That is what most folks on this site seem to misunderstand. The political ideologies of the enlightenment (of our founding fathers) has not prepared us for modernity or post modernity. So slowly internationalism creeps into our society and seeks to rip our nation apart.
The economic system that is best is that which satisfies the material necessities of a national society. Its not about Capitalism vs. Communism.

That area around 29 stumps is populated and traveled by a lot of Marines, it makes sense to have them out there to take care of the Marines that are driving under-the-influence. Honestly, I would rather get busted by a MP offbase than the local police.

Communism and facism are political polar opposites. Maybe im wrong but thats what im being tought in school
Phil Byler
Communism and fascism are NOT polar opposites. You, AnHonestConMan, were taught in school that they are polar opposites because schools teach the Commie position on the point.
I recommend two books to read as a corrective. One is Jonah Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism.” The other is Richard Overy’s “The Dictators.” You may have heard of Goldberg’s book. Overy’s book is an in depth comparison of Hitler’s German National Socialism with Stalin’s Russian Bolshevik Socialism. The comparison is startling in how similar the two systems were. The difference was that the utopia for German National Socialsim was race based and the utopia for Russian Bolshevik Socialism was class based.

Extremely well put, and referenced. Hegelbot’s oversimplification is utter rubbish. Those who visit this site know well the dangers facing this Nation. The founding principles remain well suited in time and history. It is the hegelian dialectic which is dead.
hegelbot
please explain how it is utter rubbish?
national socialism and Marxist communism are polar opposites. I am sorry. As some one who has living relative who had to choose between the German national socialism and the soviets i know damn well that there is a big difference.

No, hegelbot, German National Socialism and Marxist Communism are not polar opposites. Democracy based on market economy nad repressentative government operated under the Rule of Law is the polar opposite to National Socialism and Bolshevik/Marxist Socialism.
Everyone here should read the Overy book (it is a heavy work, winner of the Bancroft Prize in History) and see Overy’s brilliantly fascinating comparison of the actual historical experience of Stalin’s Bolshevik Socialism and Hitler’s National Socialism. Both were marked by: one party dictatorship rule, a cult of personality in the leader, state control and command of the economy, hostility to traditional Christianity, subordination of law to the state, subordination of morality to the needs of the state, use of terror as an instrument of state control, the promotion of the heroic mode in art, creation of strong sense of identity between the populations and the aspirations of the regime, war as critical element in world view of leader.
What is the polar oppposite to the foregoing is a country with a Government limited by a written Constitution, leaders elected by popular vote, economic freedom in a market economy, personal ownership of property, the Rule of Law and due process of law, reliance on traditional religion and morality (think George Washington’s Farewell Address), freedom of conscience, artistic freedom.
