We have a soft spot for this commercial in my house, as my wife has told me for some time now that I have a square ass.
I’m no prude, but I find the commercial vulgar.

personally i don’t get what the big deal is its not like they were dancing in bikinis or something hell IMO the best feature of those girls had a cardboard box over it
you know, this overly-hyped smarmy indignation about a damn cartoon character just proves how deeply entrenched cultural marxism (i.e. political correctness) is in this country. When i was growing up, we’d be told to either change the channel, or grow thicker skin. personally, i found the commercial kinda funny.
Was`nt it for a kids meal? If it was they suck,if for adults I don`t care.
That’s a great commercial,I’m glad Sir-Mix alot is actually in it.anyone who’s offended by a dancing cartoon needs to get laid.It’s not exactly some crazy jap tentacle porn.
The fact that it is for the kid’s meal is what I don’t think is appropriate. The channel does get changed when it comes on as my 2 and 4 year old girls started talking about the girls shaking their butts. My family will not have burger king for now.
What audience are they targeting with this ad?? Seems more like midteens to 20s complete miss for a kids meal.
I am with you completely. This would not surprize me in any other setting. But endorsing a kids cartoon? Who are the kid meals for and who does the commercials draw the attention of? Would we apreciate it if Ronald McDonald was getting a lap dance to entertain and sell Happy Meals? Some people don’t get what’s going on. Or maybe they don’t have children, then maybe they do and really don’t care.
I completely agree. I do not need to grow thicker skin. This commercial is coming on my television in between cartoons for my 3 young girls to see. And I havent seen the original ending in a long time where Sirmixalot says “Booty is booty” at the end. WTH?? Really? For a kids meal??? We wont be eating burger king anymore.

I totally agree with Nicole & BJMc. This is a trashy ad with a washed up rapper trying to make a come back. The song was stupid then, it’s even more so now. Let it die!!!!
I fing it vulgar and crass. It is not only inappropriate to the target age group but it is exactly what President Obama has said that the the image of today’s black man has got to change. Men like Jay Z and Flav. It is not just about the girls twitching their butts as strippers do but the lyrics are terrible. NOw I know they(BK)says that it will not be aired during “primetime”(although I saw it during the day)what is the point of “selling” a kids meal to adults?
I can’t believe this commercial is intented for Happy Meal age kids! It is totally unnecessary and should be taken off the T.V. I will not patronize Burger King with my grandchildren or myself!
The first time I saw this commercial, I thought, “This is for KIDS?” I’m no prude, but it just goes to show how engrained sex has become in our society. The one scene where the “King” is measuring the girl’s butt is completely inappropriate for children (not to mention the rest of the commercial). I wonder what BK’s marketing department was smoking when they figured this would be good for kids. Stupid.

Lets get this straight, to all of you idiotic suppoters of this BK add. If this ad aired on HBO or another strickly adult station I would not find a thing wrong with it. Maybe you approve since you don’t have kids. That’s fine but for those of us who do most of us find this ad offensive and to vulgar for small children. This ad should not be played on regular Tv aimed at children since it indeed uses the Sponge Bob Squarepants cartoon in the ad. Burger king needs to find another way to advertise or maybe they should look into improving the quality of the product that comes from their resturants and they would not have to get soo raunchy with their ads to bring in customers. I will not eat at their establishment if this is the kind of message they promote, We’ll go to MCDONALDS………besides i find that usually a MCDONALDS is always right beside most Burger Kings. Oh and I saw this ad at noon on sunday!!!! so what about airing restrictions? Just to let it be known that I didn’t object to the Virgin ads since they were geared towards more mature target range but using sponge bob in the mix eliminates the argument of intended age group (1to 10 years old) the way I figure it. GROW UP BURGER KING!!!
My real problem with the commercial is the fact that it’s clearly rectangles and not square butts. Imagine the confusion this will cause in all these kids first geometry class. The horror!
My sonoe no longer gets his once a week Burger King meal. When he asked my why, I told him the Burger King people expect their customers to accept trash (the ad in question) as acceptable.
Yes, BK has had some good ads, some funny ones, and sone dumb one, but as stated in an earlier reply, having hoochi mamas shake their cans to sell a childs meal?!?!? pathetic. My wife and I are in agreement, no BK for at least 6 months.
Same way I vote with my wallet for other businesses, no newspaper or magazine subscriptions for over 4 years now, due to heavily slanted left wing propoganda portrayed as even handed, liberal views as mainstream, complete lack of unbiased reporting, you all know what I mean.
That is working, the NYT is about to tank, thankfully, as have other liberal rags. I cannot wait until some conservative with $$$ buy some of the defunct or hurting MSM trash, and start giving conservative readers something to consume, I feel they would make a killing.

I called their corporate office (in Florida) and complained about their trashy commercial. I encourage people to do the same if they want the ad off the air.
