Resign: Napolitano Under Pressure Over DHS Terrorist Attack On Dissenting Americans

Last night, for the first time, I literally, physically, got the chills. It’s starting to sink in just how foreboding it was that the Department of Homeland Security so willingly became a political strong-arm instrument of the White House. It not only became a creator and distributor of partisan political propaganda, but it committed a terrorist act at the White House’s request. It sent out a document to literally terrify people from being caught standing amongst the crowd of those who would voice opposition to Barack Obama.

The Departmenty of Homeland Security, in essence, threatened all of those so caught in that crowd with at least character assassinatin and at worst, imprisonment. And it set the table for exactly that, by making the case for such action, in advance. It was selling the American people on a potential future course of action. “We’re merely protecting the country”. Kind of echoes the words of someone Obama seems to be very familiar with. Just substitute “preserving” for “protecting” and “Union” for “country”, and you’ll catch my drift.

It is no accident that memo was released two days before the tea parties, and what Congress really needs to be investigating is the communications between the White House and the DHS for the six weeks prior to the release of that “official report”, a report that even on its face, was written to exclusively protect the interests of one elected official, and his political minions.

Now who would have better reason to initiate this report being written in so specific a manner, and in fact, have every reason to unethically involve himself in the writing of it, than that one elected official? Oh, who is he? Barack Hussein Obama.

A light bulb did not suddenly go off in Janet Napolitano’s head inspiring her to write a report to exclusively serve the interests of Obama. The first person to have such an idea, would be the person who was the target of all the dissent and anger: Obama himself. Clearly it was his idea to have the report written in the manner in which it was, and clearly it was written in large measure by him and his White House staff.

At the moment, Napolitano is starting to look like every other individual Obama has used to achieve his ends, and then thrown under the bus. The very moment the report was released, an obviously and curiously prepared White House issued a statement distancing itself from it. And they did so for every reason you would naturally imagine, none of them good.

The fact that we are dealing with an unethical White House is of little concern to me. The fact that we are dealing with a sinister one is. The difference between the two is the measure of the distance between the ambitions of thieves and the ambitions of tyrants.

Fox News:

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is under fire for what critics see as a string of gaffes, with a small but vocal group of conservatives calling for her to step down.

The outrage continues to build over a report from her department that warned of the danger of right-wing “extremists,” and singled out returning war veterans as susceptible to recruitment.

Napolitano expressed regret for the reference to veterans — but she raised eyebrows again this week when she suggested that the Sept. 11 hijackers entered the United States through Canada, even though the 9/11 Commission determined they came to the United States from overseas.

“I don’t know that the secretary understands the depth of the disruption that she’s caused,” Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, told FOX News on Thursday, referring to the report on extremist threats. “I think the appropriate thing to do is for her to step down and let’s move on.”

Conservatives made a stern call for her ouster Wednesday night on the House floor.

“Mr. President, fire that woman,” said Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, complaining that Napolitano’s comments on the controversial report were half-hearted. “To go on television and say your apology to be, ‘I’m sorry you were offended by this report,’ that’s no apology.”

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., also said Napolitano’s resignation is in order, and she should be brought before Congress for a hearing.

Napolitano on Thursday acknowledged the criticism and reiterated that the extremist report was “not well written” and should not have been released in that form. She said she would meet with the leadership of the American Legion on Friday over the reference to returning war veterans.

But she rebuffed those who say an apology is not enough.

“That’s what they’re going to get,” Napolitano said.

She also corrected her statements on Canada, admitting that she falsely suggested Sept. 11 terrorists crossed over from Canada. “I knew the minute it came out of my mouth it was wrong,” she said.

Napolitano first clarified her comments in a written statement that said: “I know that the September 11th hijackers did not come through Canada to the United States. There are other instances, however, when suspected terrorists have attempted to enter our country from Canada to the United States.”

Her explanation was not so clear during the interview Monday with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that sparked the new controversy.

The secretary was asked to elaborate on comments about giving the Mexican and Canadian borders equal treatment, even though Canada is not experiencing a violent drug war.

“Yes, Canada is not Mexico, it doesn’t have a drug war going on,” she said. “Nonetheless, to the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists have entered our country across a border, it’s been across the Canadian border. There are real issues there.”

Napolitano was asked if she was referring to the Sept. 11 hijackers. She said: “Not just those but others as well.”

This angered some Canadian officials, who called such claims an unfortunate “misconception” in media interviews.

The Canadian newspaper The National Post unleashed on Napolitano. One column called the interview a “train wreck.” Another questioned how Napolitano could view the Canadian border as a “security threat on par” with Mexico’s.

“Ms. Napolitano’s brief interview with the CBC this week was confirmation we’re dealing with an irrational senior U.S. official who can’t differentiate between a secure border linking the world’s largest trading partners and one that’s a giant sucking sound for jobs going south and what’s been described as an ‘invasion’ of desperate Mexicans illegally sneaking north,” the column said.

Such criticism sprung in part from a speech Napolitano delivered last month at the Brookings Institution, in which she said “we shouldn’t go light on one (border) and heavy on the other.”

“If things are being done on the Mexican border, they should also be done on the Canadian border,” she said. “This is one NAFTA, it’s one area, it’s one continent and there should be some parity there.”

She said she intends to “visit myself” the Canadian border this spring or summer.

House Minority Leader John Boehner briefly addressed the criticism over Napolitano on Thursday.

“I think Secretary Napolitano has an awful lot of explaining to do,” he said.

FOX News’ Catherine Herridge contributed to this report.

I agree 100%! What is happening to our country is very frightening. And the dumb asses that voted for BHO just for the sake of voting because they were caught up in the hype have gone their merry way and have no clue what is happening to us as we speak. All they heard was FREE Health Care, FREE college, FREE housing and they were on the band wagon.

Now we have people like this doing the bidding of BHO and the Soros backed liberal left on a very fast track and running this country right into the ground. What’s sad about it is her resignation will do nothing. The next one will be as bad and out of control as the other appointees. All they are doing is marching to the tune of BHO and Soros.

Now is the time to start getting very involved for the next round of elections in 2010. If we don’t get some common sensed elected into office – we will be doomed!

I reply: What if the plan is to get 25million illegal aliens registered as voters PLUS play games with voting with ACORN and the control of the census so that the 2010 election is already a moot point long before the polls open?

    • Nanny

      Tim

That is a problem also but we have numbers too. We just need to get out there and spread the word. I think there are a lot of people out there who voted for BHO that have buyers remorse because they did not do their homework they just voted for the hype. Now they see what he meant by change and it is not sitting well with them. Especially small business owners who are Democrats that will be hit hard with taxes. True Bush hating Democrats are what is ACORN and their ilk.

    • aboutTObegin

it wont make a difference either way when the MSM report the numbers in their favored candidate….all the people can believe are the numbers they report….then behind the scenes, who knows the motivations that the electors are casting their votes because it sure was not reflective of the populace in the last election…so we are screwed either way.

Before a ruling regime feels safe from being ousted, they need to disarm the citizens, turning them into subjects. Bucking Farack actually used the word regime recently to describe what he is creating.

Lumpy Janet is Farack’s puppet, the way Farack is Soros’s puppet; but I digress. They are focusing on the military first, as they are the most trained of the free-thinking patriots that would oppose them. Next would be those that believe in the second amendment, as well as those that believe in our Constitution.

I recommend that every free-thinking patriot who believes in the second amendment should join the NRA, Second Amendment Foundation,or the Citizen’s Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. I recommend this to show our politicians (a) our great numbers and (b)that they have awakened a sleeping giant who has finally drawn a line in the sand regarding evisceration of our freedoms and rights. We WILL vote the bastards out! (pre-supposing free elections in 2010…).

The NRA estimated that 22 million gun owners were not registered to vote, and that as many as 6 million more were registered but still failed to vote. WTF? Off and on, ASAP!

    • Nanny

:gun: :gun: :gun: With our vote!!! Get them out and take back our country!!!

She tried to intimidate Obama’s political opponents by characterizing them as terrorists. She didn’t know it was “illegal” to cross the border without a passport. She didn’t know how the 9/11 hijackers got into the country.

If Obama replaces her merely for incompetence and political heavy handedness, then he’ll have to replace the rest of his appointees as well!

  • NickD (ensignricky71)

Let’s not forget this dumb broad also said that entering the country illegally is not “technically” a crime…..

    http://blog.heritage.org/2009/04/20/napolitano-illegal-immigration-not-a-crime/

On Sunday, April 19, 2009, Secretary Napolitano went on CNN’s “State of the Union” and proclaimed that crossing the border illegally is not a crime. This statement left a lot of folks scratching their heads given that U.S. law—the law Napolitano is sworn to uphold—says quite the opposite. Section 8, Title 1325 of the U.S. code clearly states that those who enter the U.S. illegally are committing a crime.

Just when I think this circus can’t possibly get any worse, it does. I keep thinking it’s some sort of bizarre bad dream. Only I can’t wake up from it.

You know what? People NEVER change their ways or their thinking until something really bad happens. And the only way that the majority of people in this country are going to wake up and vote these bast#@%$ out of office is an event like 3,000+ more Americans dying in an attack. Or a dirty nuke going off in LA.

I see this big divergence approaching; the cluelessness of so many people who voted the Dems into power (and the resultant Dems bending to the will of the far left) with situations like the Taliban taking over Islamabad. I feel like there is a flashpoint approaching.

And the chilling part is, I don’t even know if 3,000+ more dead Americans will be enough. My daughter is just about to turn 18. What kind of world is she going to be living in 10 or 20 years from now?

  • Steve in NC

Of all the acts that the usurper has done, one big thing that stands out to me is his early agreement to uphold / agree with the wiretap provisions of the patriot act.

As we know, the reason for the wiretaps was to find domestic terrorists.

What we know now is who they consider domestic terrorists.

I seriously think that we cannot wait til the 2010 elections to do something about the presidential pretender.

I posted this earlier from the DHS report on “left-wing extremism,” & I think we all need to email, fax, write & call our non representatives with this information & demand an investigation into the “left-wing extremist” in the White House.

“Anarchist extremists generally embrace a number of radical philosophical components of anticapitalist, antiglobalist communist, socialist, and other movements. Anarchist groups seek abolition of social, political, and economic hierarchies, including Western-style governments and large business enterprises, and frequently advocate criminal actions of varying scale and scope to accomplish their goals.”

You can read the report at a PDF file provided by Fox News at: http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Leftwing_Extremist_Threat.pdf

As you can see the criminal in chief meets all the criteria with the exception of “antiglobalist.”

This report was supposedly written in January, 2009.

I do agree with nospyme that everyone should join one of those organizations. The criminal in chief & his minions don’t have a clue about our actual numbers.

    God bless America!

“Clearly it was his idea to have the report written in the manner in which it was, and clearly it was written in large measure by him and his White House staff.”

I fully agree with this! obama (he does not deserve a cap on his name) and his thugs wrote this with the intent to intimidate people like us. Also, because I believe abortion is wrong (regretfully but forgiven by Jesus of having one myself the year it was legalized), because I believe murdering your own child is wrong then I also am a terrorist in their eyes.

After hyping up how bad the economy supposedly was so he could impliment his “stimulus” package, now he turns around and accuses us that we would use that and him being black to express our discust. He is not black enough for me-he’s a wanna be black just as he is a wanna be man-because he has no balls, and he’s a wanna be President, throwing the whole country under the bus with his apologies and now today interrogations of our previous administrations handling of terrorists. He is discusting and a disgrace to our country, clearly the worse President in American history.

Ms. Napolitano is a nobody, and her firing would be of no consequence in the big picture, because someone else who will do Obonga’s bidding will be put forward, until such time as he or she also gets stuck holding the bag that came from the White House.

I’m sure George Soros has a thick rolodex of people to fit into these positions as their forebears are scraped off the pavement along the bus route.

This memo will give the president cover as the Senate goes on to pass the Internet security bill which allows the president to have control over internet content.

Next will be some other sort of security legislation that will shut down talk radio.

They are already taking control of the banks and the auto manufacturers and the unions.

Next all of the illegal immigrants will be granted citizenship and Obama’s paid volunteer army and Acorn will hit the streets.

Cap in Trade, card check, EPA designations and lawsuits for companies causing pollution.

Groundwork being laid for criminal prosecutions of anyone in the CIA or previous administration.

Massive government spending leading to eventual massive tax increases.

Remember: “Never let a crisis go to waste.”

All this in the first 100 days. We have another 3 1/2 years to go.

Now if only he was a citizen.

Exactly! And, very possible under this pseudo admin under a British citizen (born in HI is questionable, but not the fact that he was born with British citizenship).

Yup, that’s right, Barry is still a British citizen to this day as there is no record of him renouncing that British citizenship he admits he was born with.

Bingo, Pat. This DHS memo has Bambi’s imprimatur, and is the vanguard for criminalizing political dissent.

Do you remember Bambi’s rise through Chicago politics? How he got his opposition removed from the ballot so he could run unopposed? That is EXACTLY what he’s doing here, amplified by the power of the Presidency.

Bambi is following the Alinksy playbook a little too slavishly. He’s at best a one-dimension thinker because he keeps repeating the same strategy with little or no adaptation to the battlefield. Ergo, the now-famous rule about “pick the target — freeze it, polarize it,” etc. First he tried that with Rush and backfired. He then tried the same thing with Bush and Rove, to which Rove vivisectioned him on FOX. Now Bambi is trying it against anyone who disagrees with him.

In short, Bambi lacks the creativity to adapt his mentor’s teachings to life experience. We saw this evidenced when Bambi goes off the teleprompter. This is his Achille’s Heel, and must be exploited.

He needs to be mocked and ridiculed mercilessly. That will only cause him to lash out even more non-creatively until people become sensitized to his predictable pattern.
