    LMAO!

  • Bobachek

I listened to this on my way home from work tonight…It was a riot….

  • That one dude

It seems to me the more energy efficient we “try” to be, the harder it’s to clean up the mess. If the damn system ain’t broke, DON’T FIX IT PEOPLE!!

True low energy consumption bulbs are made with LEDs, no toxic materials, LEDs last longer, use 1/5 the energy of CFLs, and the globes are made of heavy plastic and won’t break.

    Little know facts about CFLs.
-They are harder and more costly to recycle, most cases only the mercury is recovered and the remaining materials are waste for landfills. Thus, CFLs create more bulk waste than conventional lights. Profit margins on CFLs is much greater and demand created from eco-marketing keeps the cost to consumers up.
-No brainer…CFLs cost a lot more to manufacture because of more materials. Because of more materials, they use more energy to create, thus voiding any savings in the “bigger picture”.
-CFLs only live up to their full “energy-efficiency” if on for 6-8 hours or more straight. This means everything we were taught to turn lights off when leaving a room actually wastes energy. Also, normal on/off activity cuts the life of CFLs down to 20%.
-One broken CFL is not a hazard. The amount of mercury in one bulb is smaller than a head on a pin needle. The real hazard is mass quantities of CFLs.
-Poisoning from vapor or skin contact is rare. Mercury poisoning mainly occurs from ingestion of fish which are exposed by run-off of mercury. This is why it’s important to recover mercury and limit it’s use in product that can be easily disposed of.

This was Glen’s satirical wit at it’s best. This was a brilliant demonstration of just how over-the-top agencies like the EPA and OSHA really are. The 15 step EPA procedure to clean up a broken light bulb is a prime example of government idiocy taken to its logical conclusion.

Bravo Gen for coming up with this on Earth Day to lampoon the entire Green Machine! ROFLMAO

This was hilarious, especially when he tried picking up the little pieces with tape and it got stuck to everything and he started flinging it around.
