Kiefer Sutherland: Jack Won’t Be Back
In previous seasons, we’ve gotten a major death, a biological attack, Jack faking his own death, being kidnapped by the Chinese and plain ol’ pontificating.
But how will season seven of “24″ click to a close? “The most I can tell you is that it is not going to end because someone cuts two wires and the clock on the bomb stops,” Kiefer recently revealed.
“It is going to end because a few of the characters are going through a very difficult emotional dilemma and it is going to end on a much more dramatic level than it is going to be a physical or action-oriented sequence.”
This is in step with Monday’s revelation that Jack was infected with an incurable disease that kills within a matter of days. And considering there are only eight hours left in the seventh longest day of his life, I’m wondering if the season’s final “tick-tock-tick-tock” will also be Jack’s last.
“I believe that it’s the most powerful, important ending that we’ve ever had,” he added, doing nothing to dissuade me from thinking Jack very well might die! But with the show already coming back for at least one more season, I’m left wondering — would anyone watch “24″ without Jack Bauer?

Well…bye.
Nice “TOMBSTONE” reference.
The show’s gone without Bauer.
Guess I’d rather spend time on this web site. Never heard of Jack or the show…News to me.
thanks for taking action and suspense to a new level
I’ll miss Jack.
I stopped watching when they had a disclaimer about not offending Muslims a couple of years ago. I almost picked it back up until I heard that Garafolo was on it.
Jimmy, that’s true. I started watching 24 again this season. But I didn’t make it this far.
Where are the muj? I can’t believe all these Russian, or African terrorists. So fuck it, the cowards.
That the season started with making an important point about so called torture, was good. Guess Obongo didn’t watch, or thinks Jack should die too.
Never saw the show.
