Obama Appoints Census Director Who Demands Minority Population Count Always Be Increased By Estimated Millions
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama has chosen Robert M. Groves to be the next census director, turning to a professor who has clashed with Republicans over the use of statistical sampling to lead the high-stakes head count.
The White House will announce the selection of Groves later Thursday, a Commerce Department official told The Associated Press. The official demanded anonymity because the individual was not authorized to speak before the announcement.
Groves is a former Census Bureau associate director of statistical design, who served from 1990-92. He has spent decades researching ways to improve survey response rates. If confirmed by the Senate, he will take the helm less than a year before the decennial count, which has been beset by partisan bickering and will be used to apportion House seats and allocate billions in federal dollars.
House Republicans quickly expressed dismay Thursday over the selection of Groves, saying Obama’s choice raised serious questions about an “ulterior political agenda.”
“The fight to protect the accuracy and independence of the 2010 census has just begun,” said Rep. Patrick McHenry of North Carolina, the top Republican on a House subcommittee overseeing the census. “President Obama has made clear that he intends to employ the political manipulation of census data for partisan gain.”
When he was the bureau’s associate director, Groves recommended that the 1990 census be statistically adjusted to make up for an undercount of roughly 5 million people, many of them minorities in dense urban areas who tend to vote for Democrats.
But in a fierce political dispute that prompted White House staff to call the bureau and express opposition, the Census Bureau was overruled by Republican Commerce Secretary Robert Mosbacher, who called the proposed statistical adjustment “political tampering.”

I worked for the 2000 Census, and what’s
being attempted is to guesstimate how many of
who is not being counted. It’s not against
the law yet to refuse to be questioned.

On the upside: Once the chosen minorities are all counted twice and thrice, guess who becomes the minority–and can lash out at The Man, and the oppression of our brothas and sistas! (We won’t have to wear the Che shirts, will we?)

How can you neutralize an organization that just got $4 billion of OUR tax dollars to continue their illegal means.
Somebody should file a lawsuit against the government and demand that those tax dollors “are returned to the people” as as said by crazy madam Pelosi.
I’ve been saying it for weeks now: if you want to actually DO something to frustrate government operatives, volunteer to help with the Census. Or work for them and get paid.
Study up on the newly instituted parameters for racial determination, and how much is left up to the census-taker’s judgment (under the guise of being sympathetic and sensitive) as to the racial makeup of any citizen.
Educate yourselves. Do not cooperate with expectations on the census. Do you feel a tribal affinity with Aleutian Natives? Buy a totem and answer accordingly on the census. The Census is the single most important tool in the Liberal arsenal.
It’s not as sexy as a Tea Party, but a Census revolt would be a godly-good thing.

Simple solution: when the census taker comes to the door or you fill out the form, just say that 25 voters live in your home with you. That settles the problem. Give them phony soc sec numbers and have them vote 25 times.
Oh, yeah. If he asks for proof, shoot the fucker. One less voter and government lackey.
