You know I have been thinking.
Shouldn’t the election bumper stickers, yard signs, t-shirts and all the other election propaganda have said:
Teleprompter / Obama - 2008
Instead of:
Obama / Biden - 2008?
They say Obama is a great speaker…He is more like a great reader.
I enjoy going back and watching the old President Reagan speeches. He could sure deliver a speech…Oh and without a teleprompter!

I don’t know if you can blame it on Obama directly, but apparently a duplicate, back-up to Air Force One along with 2 F16s buzzed lower Manhatten & the Statue of Liberty today for a “photo op”. It sent people scrambling out of buildings into the streets, creating panic as people were unaware of the event. “Everybody was screaming and we all ran downstairs. I’m devastated. ..Everybody was running, we didn’t know why we were running. We just knew it was a plane, there we go, 9/11 again.” People were sent to hospitals for injuries caused during hi-rise evacuations. A New Jersey resident said, “I saw ambulances out here with pregnant women.”
WTF are these idiots thinking? If this turns out to be some fucking photo Barry hands out to fans, this POS should be physically dragged from the WH and deported back to Kenya/Indonesia/Pakistan/etc.

Like some hijacker is flying AF1 into some building in NYC let alone the statue of liberty.
People need to get a brain, at least the bright side is that New Yorkers haven’t forgotten 9/11 and I’m sure never will.
With all due respect, honestly, you can hardly blame people’s reactions to this, especially there.
Depending on the angle you’re at and whether there are obstacles in your line of sight (NY has big buildings I’ve heard), you might not recognize AF1. To most people, it was just a 747.
A F16 chasing a jet might possibly look like a F16 chasing a jet. The fact that it didn’t shoot it down, in people’s panic-state of minds, would only play for those with clear views. The situation for most was a huge jet flying very low around lower Manhattan, Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty that was extremely “not normal”, caused a flashback reaction for people.
Hijacker flying AF1: Again, most people would not have recognize due to sight limitations. They saw a big jet flying erratic being chased by a military jet. More so, they heard the big jet followed by the unmistakable sound of a military jet.
I’m sure for those that did identify it as AF1, there was still concern and thoughts in the back of their minds “what if?” and I’m sure they were not panicked as others. I do agree with you that it seems NYers haven’t forgotten 9/11 and no doubt will always, but to be unknowingly forced to relive the terror of hearing and possibly seeing low flying jets echoing through the city would have freaked-out even the most hardened NYer.

Your right, after seeing several videos it is apparent that the 747 does not obviously appear as AF1 depending upon the angle an observer maybe witnessing the fly by.
