I was there with some great New Yorkers.

I think the revolution just heard from our first patriot. Go Newt!! Fire Obama, Pelosi, Reed, Biden,
    and all the Obama appointees.

  • http://www.okiepatriot.blogspot.com Greywolfe

See, I was a big fan of his, right up to the point where he started jumping on the global climate change bandwagon.

From that point on he lost all credibility with me. He panders. He’s trying to be everything to everyone. Don’t get me wrong, he’s brilliant and I believe mostly concervative, but he panders too much for my tastes.

    • Marc

Newt’s effectiveness is crafting populist issues especially about drilling our own oil, however, I’m with you on his embracing the Cult of Global Whining.

He is just trying to position himself for higher office. Career Politicians are a big part of the problem. Mr. Gingrich served honorably, but his time has passed & he needs to step aside.

    • unkaglen

Newt is a turncoat never to be trusted…..
His type needs to be added to the ash bin of history along with all D.C. insiders…………….
As of now I don’t belong to the Republican or Democratic party…I belong to the T.E.A. Party..

  • DesignR

Love him, but be sure he’s not talking with his buddies on the Left while having lunch.

He could end up being like McCain, easily.

  • Andy

The same old shit from a career politician is EXACTLY what this movement doesn’t need. I’m completely with Greywolfe when it comes to Newt’s credibility and this will destroy ours. We don’t need the same B.S. coming from the same scum-bag politicians who now want to jump on board like they’re leading us. These RINOs have let us down time and time again and they continue to pocket money and play kissy-face with the enemies of our nation. Send ALL of these bastards packing. If you haven’t seen it, or forgotten; here’s this pandering fuck in action:

  • Wolfen

Greywolfe and Andy are right. I was counting on this guy to stand with us and there he was on the couch with Pelosi agreeing on Global Warming.

    http://michellemalkin.com/2008/09/28/gingrich-gets-back-on-the-couch-with-pelosi/

Takes me awhile to catch on but I never forget.

  • Blade Runner

Sure seems like there are some jaded souls on this site. I oould give a fuck what Newt did last year or last month. The speech he gave here was about us, for us. It wasn’t about him or his political future. I guess you can read anything in to it you want.

    • unkaglen

Only one problem with the history thing Blade,It tends to repeat itself at the most inopertune time.
Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on ME

  • Bobachek

I also see Newt as part of the problem, not the solution….Careerist politicians are not what the founding fathers had in mind and that is what Newt represents…

Newt won’t get us there, he is part of the same old same old crowd….

  • Andy

I just don’t want to go through this mess only to hand it right back to the very people that were wishy/washy fence riders to begin with. Hell, I love Sarah Palin, but I was furious when she played to the glo-bull warming crap too.

  • Can’t pull my leg

Newt blew his chance when he failed to deliver on the so called “Contract With America”. Look at what that got us now. He’s part of the problem. Now he wants to ride on the coattails of this teaparty movement. What better example of a career politician do you need to see. Newt, crawl back into your hole and stay there.

  • TerryTate

    Indeed.

Agree with all of the above.

These guys are the reason we are in the mess we are in.

Don’t let them ride to the top on the sweat of our backs.

The only time they respond to us is when they see opportunity. Opportunity for themselves. As soon as things look dark for them, they will abandon us.

If they betray your trust, you should never put them in a position of authority again. Janitor, sure. President no.

  • David

The problem: Who the fuck is running against these WHORES??? No one, that’s who. You can’t defeat someone with no one! When are we going to get it? Who is going to stand up for us, WE THE PEOPLE?

  • Nanny

100% agreement with ALL of you!

  • MinneSoCold

The man has some great ideas, but sadly he has some bad ones too.

I certainly understand the disillusionment many people have with Mr. Gingrich, especially after he agreed to do that stupid ‘bi-partisan’ global warming farce of a commercial.

I vaguely recall being disappointed with him myself when, after being ousted (in reality, he was ousted) from the Speaker’s ‘chair’ by disgruntled Republicans, he vacated his House seat. A seat he had just easily won reelection to.

But I also recall that from the very day he and the Republicans won ‘control’ in 1994… the ‘Media’ ruthlessly attacked him as some kind of reactionary right-wing fiendish (and racist) monster. Does any of this sound familiar?

The Republican ‘revolution’ of the late 1990s ground to a halt because ‘we’ sat back silently while the ‘Media’ beat it to death. All while they simultaneously propagandized endlessly for that contemptible two-faced lying ‘socialist’ snake W. J. Clinton, just as they do now for that Marxist sociopath: B. H. Obama.

Newt Gingrich is not perfect, but none of us are either. Even the most honorable, thoughtful, and Patriotic ‘political’ leaders are still just politicians. They sometimes do ‘bend’ under the relentless-winds of drummed-up opposition… and fail to meet our expectations.

It’s ‘our’ job to set ‘them’ straight when they falter or lose heart… it is called being “active” – an active participant in the political life of your nation.

We can’t have it both ways, excoriating those members of the established political aristocracy who still fear to stand with us while, simultaneously, criticizing those who’ve chosen now to come-out and stand with us.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend!

Newt HAD to be demonized and run out of office. They did an EXCELLENT job of distorting what he said.
First he had pulled people together, second, if you remember they had Clinton and Gore on felony charges. Clinton for lying and also sexual assault if anyone would LISTEN and Gore on money laundering.
The media would cut their own throats before seeing Newt as CinC and he was #3 in line after Gore.
If you are looking to a “perfect” politician you are not going to find it. Global warming is a non-issue right now. There are bigger fish to fry. Its something to get people’s minds off the REAL problem.

You better find someone, perfect or not that is reasonably conservative and has widespread support and back them or we will have 8 years of Obamanation.
The American people had a temper tantrum and elected Obama. They were systematically lied to about almost everything by the press and failed to elect McCain. Now we are paying for it. I didn’t like Mcçain. He crapped on the POW/MIA families (or so I heard) and has done some other things I did not like. But he is WAY better than what we got from the election.
The next election hold your nose if you have to but VOTE REPUBLICAN. If its the primary VOTE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN. Anything else, anything, is a vote for more socialist “workers paradise” programs. Because an independent will not win. WE have to change the REPUBLICAN PARTY not try to make a new one. This is not the time for another “temper tantrum”.

  • dogbert41

I have always been a Newt supporter. Politics, like religion, are so filled with complications that you will never find any two human beings able to agree 100% on every facet. But you take the major points and build your church or party within those boundaries. Newt is an incredibly articulate teacher and thinker who was able to orchestrate the takeover of congress for the first tme in my lifetme by conservatives, and i will never forget what it cost him, and was stunned at the lack of support he got from us when the libs went after him for blood.

    • Kermit

Yea well Newt readily admitted in his inaugural American Solutions webwide workshops that he tried to help Hillary get her care package passed but in small chunks rather than one big chunk. If she had done it his way we would all be under government medical control 100%.

    • unkaglen

Who was that sitting on the couch next to Pelosi informing us that global warming is man made and the only way we can possibly survive is to pay insanely high taxes and sacrifice our S.U.V.’s to the great global warming God??
Fucking turncoat never to be trusted……….

  • http://Hey serfer62

Keep the Lizard out of politics…he blew it as Speaker when he really had a chance to do good with the Contract With America.

And aside…NO third party. Instead vote the enbunents out at the primaries no matter what party.

  • http://mailboxawnings.com Marka in the Keys

When Newt (whose first duty as a professor is to defend academic freedom) appeared on that stupid couch on the beach – in essence supporting Gore’s “the science is settled” and the intimidation of skeptics and scientific research – it was a game changer. I’d spent all of the ’90′s with a Newt! sticker on my purse, defending this man. Go figure.
Bush’s calling us “nativists” and saying in panic that we had to “chunk” capitalism to save it also had an impact. I retain some affection for both of them because they are human and by and large fought certain battles for the larger good at the risk of their own popularity and careers, but I’m not sure who they are anymore. Romney’s failed universal insurance program in Massachusetts has had the same effect. These are not little inconsistencies among these men. They are huge contradictions.

FUCK NEWT!!! A TWO FACE M F ER! WHEN I SEEN HIM WITH THAT PELOSI BITCH, THATS ALL SHE WROTE! FUTURE NOTICE! BEWARE WHO YOU SLEEP WITH!!!

  • LG

Let’s start a T.E.A. Party, just to confuse the Left and the Right!! Then vote for the best nonpolitician who vows to only serve two terms, period.
