No matter how you slice it, Mr. Obama and his follower's agenda cannot win. As the church was to feudal society in the agrarian age, the welfare state is the administrative bureaucracy of the Industrial Age. The expectation that corporations somehow owe their employee's a cradle to grave safety net has long passed. What we are seeing is the last gasp of the freeloaders who today outnumber the providers in our society worldwide. They are making their last grab for a dying lifestyle. The information age has become entrenched. Despite their best efforts, there can be no turning back of the clock to an age that the left longs to relive, albeit in a "green" way. The age of nationalism is passing as well. The effects of access to information have made the world a smaller place. Because of this we must face daily the truth that a father is a father and a mother is a mother; no matter their nationality, they both love their children.
