That is jacked up!! Sick…
This happened at a local gun shop that is known to be lax on everything except their pricing schedule.
Many of those around these two made comments that the woman “wasn’t right” and one of my friends was at the shop at the time. This nice video system doesn’t get watched or they would have caught her loading the pistol behind the firing line which is rule #2 at that range. “2. Do not load firearms away from the firing line and do not take a loaded firearm away from the firing line.”
This is unfortunate. They released two “letters” and a CD that she made prior to this. She had planned it for a while. She felt that she was the Anti-Christ and that her son had to be saved and sent to Heaven and herself to hell. She “wasn’t right”.
It was a professional range when Niles Gun Range owned it, I got my CCW there back in 93. Went in once after it changed hands, never went back.
Unfortunately, Hassan has ruined the place.
Niles was a nice place to hang. Shoot Straight is a commercial joke in Orlando. 90% of their customers are mall ninjas, wannabes, or know nothings that are easily screwed.
It’s a retail +15% shop, meaning they markup based on the retail prices, not the wholesale prices. Their attitude isn’t about guns, it’s about screwing people for whatever they can as long as they can. From the owner on down the attitude is disturbing.
Their general manager, Linda, if you remember (Yosimite Sam looking asshole)described the AR-15 to the Orlando Sentinel and the TV news outlets in town as, “a very dangerous rifle, it will go through walls, cars, it doesn’t matter…” when approached about the assault weapons ban. Ignorant fuck…

I just hope this doesn’t go viral and get used as another excuse to curtail firearms… not everyone’s mother is a F***ING LUNATIC

Right on. She’d have stabbed him with a sword, knife, beaten him with a baseball bat. If you want to kill someone, it’s not hard there are plenty of ways to go about it, guns just happen to be the easiest way. A tragedy for the young man though.
Anyone find it interesting that so many incidences of gun related violence are occuring lately? Could it be a response motivated by the frustration of the current political situation, or …..?

IronMike - Good point and I have been thinking the same thing for a while. People are frustrated and feeling like they are at the end of their rope with nowhere else to turn. They are betrayed by everyone that they thought they could trust and they just go over the edge. Sad to say that this will not be the last in this recent trend. Many feel there is no hope and nowhere to turn because modern society does not have many support systems anymore.
It could just be random - clusters *must* occur if something is truly random, otherwise you can predict it - and it isn’t random. Most people aren’t aware of that property of randomness. It makes it much harder to assign a cause than you might think in many cases, like cancer clusters.
It could also be that the media is focusing on them. It’s a big country - shit is happening all the time. They can cherry-pick to fit their agenda.

why the fuck do these idiots involve other people in there bullshit!?! Over the last 10 years this has happend 3 times at my local range. unfortuantely she also took her son with her. But if she is gonna kill herself she should go get one and do it at home. Instead everyone else has to clean up her mess. Imagine being that guy in the lane next to him. rediculas.
NO WAY this is about the MSM attack on the 2nd by printing stories that will bring an end to gun ownership.
No mention of the numerous uses of personal weapons, in the news, that stop crime everyday all through the country.
