The AP reporters favorite line was probably “they had been watching NASCAR…”. The elite numb-nuts in New York think that’s the funniest part.
Of course, the New Yorkers get drunk and take a Taxi home after watching ‘Cats’ on Broadway instead. They are much more sophisticated drunks than those on horseback.
Not funny at all.

I wonder how long it will take the judge to throw that one out?
I guess the cop was bored.

What the hell. Seriously how the hell is it legal for someone to be charged with DUI when they’re riding/driving something that doesn’t require a license?! If anything it should have been public intoxication at the most.
I mean if you can get a DUI from riding a horse drunk then you can get a DUI for driving your riding mower drunk…or riding a bicycle drunk, or fucking walking drunk.

Too bad one of their friends didn’t take their keys away.
How do you get a DUI on a horse. Doesn’t the horse have a mind of its own? Was the horse drunk too?

Actually, I know someone who was arrested for this and endangerment of an animal in Louisiana. He had some problems, still loved to dance, and though he did not have a car would ride his horse into town to get drunk (he already was) and go dancing.
The state police had to bring a horse trailer when he was arrested. Robert was decidedly a country Cajun which there are really very few of outside of Southwest Louisiana and definitely rare in New Orleans.

What’s the world coming to if you can’t horse around while drinking
