ACTIVE Participation: Join Pat Dollard As He Addresses 100,000 Iraq Vets, Their Families, And Supporters, On The D.C. Mall On “Victory In Iraq Day”
I have been invited by Beverly Perlson of Band of Mothers and Chris Hill of Gathering of Eagles to address the anticipated crowd of 100,000 Iraq vets, their fellow troops, families, and supporters at the Victory In Iraq Day rally on the Washington, D.C. Mall, June 13.
I humbly accepted, and I look forward to spending time there with all of you who attend. This is an excellent “early days” activity for all ACTIVE members.
Beverly Perlson tells me they have “hotels, permits, the whole deal.” There will be a follow-up post with logistical nitty-gritty information, and below you will find some of that information in posts from Gathering of Eagles and Pro-Troop Events.com.
The troops need us, the troops deserve us, and the country needs and deserves the message of this mission.
Please join me in successfully completing it.
Pat Dollard
ACTIVE

This will be the scene on the National Mall on June 13th, 2009, as tens of thousands of Americans gather to do what must be done:
DECLARE VICTORY IN IRAQ:
Americans! If we don’t do it, it won’t be done; join us as we gather in the nation’s capital on June 13th to commemorate “Victory in Iraq Day” and to thank our military for their sacrifices on behalf of a grateful nation. The time has come to recognize our brave troops for bringing victory to the Iraqi people and to the cause of freedom around the world.
What has happened in Iraq reflects what our nation can do when the stakes are high, and the stakes in Iraq were VERY high. While Operation Desert Storm was an important victory in the fight for freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom was immeasurably more vital in terms of defending the values we hold dear, and yet the government will not organize a victory parade like it did for General Schwarzkopf’s troops. Why? Desert Storm was supported by the American public, and OIF has been the “orphan” of the last decade.
Well, the orphan has parents now, and, as Pogo said, “They is us.”
Let’s take ownership of our troops’ victory in Iraq by gathering in the uncounted thousands to give them a national “thank-you.”
There will be patriotic speakers, fabulous music, a sea of flags, and a general atmosphere of celebration and thanksgiving for what our military men and women have done under the most difficult of circumstances. Be a part of it!

Victory in Iraq Rally
Yes, you read that correctly. On 13 June, 2009 , The Band of Mothers, Gathering of Eagles, Eagles Up and all our usual partners in the pro-troop movement will once again come together on the Mall in Washington , DC to celebrate the Victory of our brave troops in Iraq .
Many have argued for some time now that victory in Iraq was not only impossible, but that it was not even quantifiable. “Define victory!” was the cry from many in the anti-American groups like Code Pink and ANSWER. Well here it is: Baghdad is under Iraqi control, as are fully three-quarters of the provinces in a country that was written off as lost by too many of our politicians and all of our adversaries.
Elections are held with regularity in Iraq now. Their politicians squabble over banalities in a way all too reminiscent of the U.S. Congress. Bombings are down, American combat troops are rotating out, Iraqi recruits are graduating at record rates and schools, hospitals and government agencies are opening all over the country. In fact, more Americans were killed in a handful of American cities last year than in the entire country of Iraq .
One American death is terrible and hard to take, but our brave men and women in uniform shouldered their burden and liberated a country that had been in the hands of a truly dangerous U.S. hating despot. The situation in Iraq will not turn around completely, but turn around it will and all because brave American heroes saw to it. The Middle-East will not begin to love us over night, but 10 or 20 years down the road some Iraqi child who benefited from the company of an American warrior will marvel at how anyone could hate such good, kind men and women.
That is what we are going to celebrate in DC this June: the best and brightest Americans went to a brutally inhospitable land and made friends of former enemies. They fought in conditions alien and incomprehensible to most of us and they succeeded against terrible odds because that is what our service members do. Join us in saying thanks to these men and women. If you’re uncertain what the thanks should be let me sum it up for you: THANK YOU SOLDIERS, SAILORS, AIRMEN, MARINES & COASTIES FOR SAVING THE WORLD. WE ARE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT.

The first and last reason you need to attend

Pat, I’ll see you there.
Fuck yeah. I’m there.
June is a fine month to party with patriots. I’m there!
Oh wait. I can’t believe I just confused this whole thing. Isn’t there another event/rally that’s supposed to happen on July 4th?
My Friend Concrete Bob is one of the Organizer. I hope to have several of our Patriot Guard members as well there in the parade procession. Maybe I’ll get an opportunity to say hi but if not I am glad you are comming! If you see a Harley with a sub on the gas tank and number 21 on the fairing give a shout out. Kick some ass, take some names and let’s all thank our troops for doing one helluva job despite our politicians ill wills. They deserve this and so much more!
Will this be taped and posted for those of us who can’t attend but really, really with they could?
SweetT…CSPAN will probably televise this, but we will also be DVR’ng the event for a DVD.
Let’s lie about why we are there and say that we are protesting against “Bush’s War” so that C-Span will carry it!
Haha
Hell Yeah, I will be there holding a sign saying “thanks to the surge we have victory”
no thanks to Reid, Obongo and the rest of the fucking democRAT congress
We should have a meeting place for DollardNation so we can meet eachother.
Home of the Free because of the BRAVE!!
Some folks here are in the other Groups as well. I do think though if we wear Active T-shirts or whatever, we can introduce ourselves. The mall will be full of Patriots
I’m buying my ticket!
Its Victory, because we SAY its Victory! Bush declared it once, this the nail in the coffin.. double victory! “immeasurably more vital in terms of defending the values we hold dear..” ie. preemptive strikes on a sovereign nation under false pretenses, remember this wasn’t Operation Iraqi WMD, detaining people without charge, changing the law to make torture legal, creating enemies to destroy (debaathification, firing 400,000 soldiers with guns and not paying them, shutting down local factories in favor of Halliburton, Bechtel, KBR, etc.) And let’s not forget about the 4500+ American troops who died there, the hundreds of thousands who are traumatically battered from the war, tens of thousands more with horrific injuries, and the nearly 100,000 Iraqi civilians dead. This is the war we will never STOP winning!!
And then you have the megalomaniacal Pat Dollard, who thinks he is God and that he is leading his sheep to the promised land (like Hitler, Kim Jung and Stalin, he actually knows that he isn’t but does it to satisfy his own sick individual fantasies of self worth).
As long as you little ACTIVE crusaders don’t come around my way, and proselytize about how right you are and how wrong I am, we wont have any problems.
We welcome whatever ‘trouble’ you can dish out.
Beware of the reaction.
KK. Settle down. Put down your Kool-aid, ick up a SHARP #2 Pecil, and make sure to doublespace…
1)We did not go into Iraq with false pretenses. WMD’s were only 1 of 45 or so UN resolutions that Saddam had violated. What are resolutions without consequences for breaking them?
2)Your example of making ‘torture’ legal is pure verbal masturbation. it only makes YOU fell good to say it. Playing Metallica at high volumes, or pointing at a naked man’s shriveled dick is NOT torture. Ask that of the Iraquis who survived Abu Ghraib. (not too many i might add)
3) We lost 4500(by your count) Fine American Soldiers and Patriots. I will not disagree. BUT, these were people who put themselves in harm’s way, as you would not do, for their Country. To put it in perspective, MORE soldiers died in the first 15 minutes of D-Day than died in the entire Iraqi theater. We DO CARE about our soldiers and their safety.
4) The 100,000 Iraqi dead is a fallacy. The majority of jihadists we killed came from other countries. And the even greater majorities of civilian dead came at the hand of the same Jihadists who said they were there for the Iraqi people. hmmmm…go figure.
5) Pat is a great man, not by his own volition, but by his humble sincere caring for the country that we live in. He has no desire to “rule” has no desire to “mandate or control” as you would paint him to be. You mentioned Hitler, Kim Jung and Stalin. Great. all of those dictators believed in Socialism, Communism, and the elimination of Free Market Capitalism, which goes against everything Pat stands for.
6) It seems to me that your last statement simply resounds with self-loathing, as though a leper can walk by a healthy person and simply “fling” their leprosy onto that person. You need to actually read both sides of the arguement before opening up your mouth, or typing that which is proven to be untrue.
Thank you, We appreciate your response, and hope to hear from you in the future As Sun Tzu said, “know thy enemy”
Seems that Nancy Pelosi has made herself known on Dollard Nation.
Make Yourself known nancy boy, be very carefull what you wish for! I just hope your are man enough to back up your tough talk on an internet message board. Your friends in IVAW sure weren’t at Winter Soldier II in Silver Spring. I know, I was there! where were you girly man?
They were not a Sovereign Nation they surrendered that after the Highway of death. Keep telling your lies and bullshit.
Hey Nancy I like my steaks rare and my blowjobs well done, now get back in the kitchen and shut your piehole.
You posting from Canada?
I think he wants to come out and play…
vlm, you need to know, we are playing for keeps.
VLM
“As long as you little ACTIVE crusaders don’t come around my way, and proselytize about how right you are and how wrong I am, we wont have any problems.”
Idle threats lad?
You came trolling around in our neighborhood, be careful not to tug on supermans cape.
VLM,
You are a troll of the worst order. Stunningly stupid and utterly uninformed. Stunningly stupid for coming to this site and laying down “warnings”. Utterly uninformed for spouting the typical daily kos, anti-american bullshit that is rotting your already excrement-filled head.
You f**k with Pat, you’re f**king with all of us. Or maybe you really are too stupid to realize this?
LOL!!! How did this cocksucker get on here??
YOU MUST HAVE GOTTEN YOURSELF LOST, SUGGEST YOU GO TO pelosi . com, and stay put
I look forward to meeting you face to face.
We have so much to discuss.
Who the fuck are you? I guaran-damn-tee you sure as hell don’t know US!!! If you did, you wouldn’t be coming here and taking a shit all over the most patriotic bunch of folks I’m happy to call FAMILY!
Why don’t you just STFU and GTFO.
Wow great to be back . Just in time to tell this piece of s… to bring it on. We come in peace but will not back down from scum like you. You forget we didn’t all vote for the devil. Lottie
And then you have the megalomaniacal Pat Dollard, who thinks he is God and that he is leading his sheep to the promised land (like Hitler, Kim Jung and Stalin, he actually knows that he isn’t but does it to satisfy his own sick individual fantasies of self worth).
LMAO Pat you megalomaniac, you!
This tool is only validating himself through indirect malevolent slander, I highly doubt this individual has ever acted out of any form RATIONAL thought, in fact probably totally incapable, but the individual tries to substantiate an atrocious lie with psychobabble and a nice vocabulary. This individual moots his argument when he injects his personal opinion as fact, proving that the individual is acting out of his own self-righteous, self-hating indignation.
Perhaps he knows ‘A Word about Words’. We know what you are up to, and we are tougher, smarter, and WAY MORE HONEST than you and your ilk.
Less QQ, more PeW PeW.
What an honor for you, Pat. Well deserved. What a moment when you address that crowd and America gets to see the man who helped so much in waking America up that our young men and women in Iraq were (and are) heroes in that fight and that when they started coming home, the country needed to open its arms and welcome them home.
We stood at one time, it seemed on the head of a pin, whether or not our troops would return home to disrepect of the Vietnam era or come home to the heroes reception they deserved - and it was because of the Pat Dollards of the world that we ensured those fighters, those patriots, those heroes of ours have been coming home to respect, honor and adoration.
And the memory of the fallen will be honored on June 13th.
We also have to remember other important organizations who have been in the troop support fight from the beginning Free Republic, Move America Forward, Marine Corp League, Rolling Thunder, Nam Knights, Vets for Freedom, American Sheepdogs, Patriot Guard Riders, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Black Five, Soldiers Angles, Prayer Warriors, American 9/11 Foundation, Oath Keepers, Operation Troop Aid, Ring of Remembrance, Operation Troop Aid, Guardian Eagle Foundation, If I overlooked anyone forgive me. We have never been alone!
Thanks for that sassy, what a list!
Not knowing what my schedule will be next week, let alone 2 months from now, I dunno If I can be there. If I CAN, it’s easy logistically. Got a buddy who lives in DC, and can board there. 8hr drive for me, but well worth it. I’ll try like hell.
On another note, i’d like to recommend getting the ACTIVE artwork on Cafepress, so we can start getting some shirts out there. Costs nothing to start, and everytime someone buys one, ACTIVE gets some lewt. I did it with a shirt company I had a few years back, right from my living room.
I would see if we can get Ranger Up to do it first. Nothing against Cafepress, I’ve used them.
Well considering I live 30 minuits away. I’ll be there, count on it.
What a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations.
Pat, looking forward to it. I’ll be sure to be back in my hometown, Washington D.C., for that one. I’m, sure Lloyd Marcus will be there, too. They need any bands?
For you folks with a Facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=39339092485
Bob, get in touch with me re: the bands, I’d like to hear what you have in mind.
Right on. I look forward to that in person or not.
This looks very cool, and Beverly, thanks for involving Pat!
I was going to be there today but the event was canceled. I will be there in June for sure!
Looking forward to it
ROAD TRIP!
This Alaskan is going!!! Is the Dollard Nation standard flying where we can gather?
I don’t see why it shouldn’t be.
I’ll be there.
As will I. If my unknown-of-as-yet-to-be-my-future-employer doesnt agree, than fuck them. I’ll be there. Re-invention of one’s trade doesn’t seem too hard to do, now does it Pat? You and I have both done it, and we are better people for it.
“I’ll be there.”
Oops. That was me. Still getting the hang of this thing.
If finances will allow, we’ll be there.
Very cool.
I’ll be there with my minions! ;))
What an honor to be around people such as this!
hope this works! would you still say that if i (or) we looked like this?
it didn’t work the first time.
http://media.photobucket.com/image/ugly/stankonia_2008/ugly.jpg?o=36
sounds great, see y’all there
On my calendar.
Let’s roll.
Arrgh I do not live near there-not sure I can go
I wish you all well, and thanks vets
Hoo-frickin-Ah! I’ll be there!!
Sure won’t miss this one - what an inspired idea!
What an honor to speak in front of such a crowd. I know you’ll “represent”.
Pat … you need a teleprompter? I know someone who has a ton of them (we all do) … LOL
For all involved in Victory in Iraq Day: you are an answer to my prayers. It’s about fucking time.
If I can’t organize a local support demo(need more Active members in AZ), will help do PR and whatever it takes to get media coverage for the blessed event.
Now we know(from the radio show) Dollard will get to the heart of the matter and find the right words for the gathered patriots, and spark a few liberal brains.
Bev will tear the place up
Since Bouke60 is leaving me hanging and Steve in NC wants to hide me in his basement, I’ll starting my journey towards the Dutch coast.
There I’ll start swimming west-wards to get in Washington DC on time.
(Seems I can only trust 2 men in my life; my dad and Pat.
)
Jeanet, I don’t want to keep you in the basement all of time…..
You’re welcome.
(But I’m also guilty of hitting my keyboard and swearing at my harddisk sometimes.)
Note my comment to Bob P between the “(” and the “)” .
Still sure you’ll let me out every now and then?
I got refused of entering Afghanistan for fear Bin Laden might ask for asylum in Switserland the moment he’d find out I’d entered the country.
(…..or, maybe it was because I tend to put salt in stead of sugar in the coffee of CO’s who treat their men badly. Can’t rememerber lately…..).
To Pat, and all of you:
Thank you with all my heart for committing to this rally. Our Soldiers have worked so hard and against so many odds, to achieve victory in Iraq, and not to mention, keeping us all safe for the last 8 years! I can’t even imagine what it is like to put yourself in harm’s way everyday and then have some in the country you are defending turn their back on you. This rally to thank our troops is long overdue and thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm and committment to attend. This will mean the world to our Soldiers.
Pat, THANK YOU!!!!!!! and thank you for always standing up for our Troops! See all of you on June 13th!
Beverly Perlson
The Band of Mothers
Congrats Pat!
Very exciting!!
I can’t think of a better person to honor our troops, and our success in Iraq.
Wish I could be there in person…. I’ll be there in Spirit.
Already making arrangements to get there..
im there
Sounds like a good day to be in Washington with my BOM shirt.
Y’all might already know about this but just in case… there are a couple of Senate bills now, introduced by Jay Rockefeller of W.V. to create a National Cyber Security Office. They are bills 773 and 778 and will give them (you know - THEM) the power over what gets said on the internet. Just FYI.
If I can swing it, I’ll be there…I work until 2230 every night and would have to see if Amtrak can make it from Charlotte to DC in time…best way I can be there and bag some ZZZZ’s enroute.
What FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m There !!!!
Just got back from Camp Lejeune awhile ago. Quite a few of us held a Pro-Troop rally, saturday, for the Marines there and we had a blast doing it again this year.
Marines were stopping their cars and coming up to us all afternoon just to say thanks, even though we reminded each of them that the whole reason we were there was to Honor them for their service.
Let me tell you, all of them and i mean all stressed the point that they are looking forward to being deployed to do their job in A’stan. I was speechless a lot of the time just listening to these outstanding young men.
I love ‘em all.
God Bless the United States Marine Corps.
My son is getting out in Nov maybe in Aug to start college. He is at Camp Lejeune.
He tells me its awesome to see the people supporting the troops and he always says thank you to people who come up to him and talk to him.
My son is such a good guy. He told me the other day that he would reenlist if there was another serious conflict and that is something because it was hell being a grunt in Iraq. I have a picture of him on his second tour at one of the entrances to the city of Fallujah he is one of the ones standing there waving the autos forward and checking them. He tried to tell me he made badges. haha
Truely every moment of that tour was hell for me, more than the first tour of patroling.
He says to me he is just doing his duty and fighting for my freedom.
A rare piece of good news these days.
What about accommodations? I would like to get with someone who’s going by themselves so we can bunk together to save money.
P.S. Pat, can you get through your speech without “fuck” every other word? LMAO…you had a hard enough time w/ Pastor Manning.
Luv ya, dude!
Of course I fucking can.
I want to go!!!! Ms Underestimated: We can go together. I met you at the We Surround Them.
Awesome Pat! Thank you Beverly! I would love to be there!
Hi all I would like Range to go. He was in Dessert Storm and wants to be part of this. We have gotten settled in here in our new state of Nevada. It seems like a better place than Calif. I wasn’t sure if anyone would be here its been over a month. We have a lot of catching up to do. Will listen to the show tonite can’t hardly waite.
Pat sounds like as usual you are busy keeping everything in its place as it should be. Lottie
Will Marcus Luttrell be speaking?
Now it looks like there will be at least three attending from my family. My mother, my son the veteran, and myself..possibly my daughter. Can’t wait!
Lousy timing on the date.
Grandsons Birthday, he the son of a Gulf War Vet.
Reunion with a Fellow Vietnam Era Vet.
I’ll have the flag out front of our Campsite.
Take it to ‘em
