Violent Protesters Of The Party Of Tolerance Shut Down Tancredo Speech At UNC

The Raleigh News & Observer: Minutes into the speech, a protester pounded a window of the classroom until the glass shattered, prompting Tancredo to flee and campus police to shut down the event.

  • MileHigh

That explains why I didn’t see him in Denver.

  • ROB (FLINT89)

had to google this guy, didn’t know who he was. Although I have to like him when the first thing I saw was he’s strongly against illegal immigration and excessive immigration in general.

    • GRIZZ

Did you watch any of the early pres debates?

  • Hardball1911

I find that it is quite saddening that the ignorance is allowed to continue unabated.

Nobody has ever claimed that an individual is “illegal”. The fact is, illegal immigration is fucking against the law. But the law doesn’t mean much these days, does it? Unless you are shutting them down for their agenda, then you’re fascist.

First amendment rights don’t count unless you are stopping them from talking.

  • DesignR

How is ACCDF going to react to something like this?

Like the man said, a $5 pane of glass can shut speech down at that college.

Will we have a reaction to counter this kind of anarchy? Seriously, how can we stop this kind of stupidity from ruining OUR speech? Silly string? Lemon Pie?

Are we going to be Re-ACCDF or Pro-ACCDF?

    Concrete ideas folks, please…

    • Tim Roesch

      This is an excellent question.
Planning is everything. At the Boston Tea Party I attended there seemed to be persons whose job it was to make sure there were no ‘racist’ signs and that no one caused problems.

      There weren’t any.

My guess is that you need to deal with this the same way you deal with sewage…dilution.

Of course, fighting it only gives the other side ammunition since the media and, it would appear, the police are on their side.

Also, we need to deal with the school itself. The school and the professors can not be allowed to get away with this.

If I had any say, I would suggest that the ACCDF encourage and support ex-military going to schools like this and obtain ‘degrees’. Their real purpose would be to hold the issue in the face of the students. Get in their faces.

Audit classes in numbers. Confront professors on a daily basis. Post UTube videos of classes. Hold them to the fire. Ask questions. Put up signs. Walk around in groups wearing pro America shirts. College campuses might be injun territory but the indians aren’t the Weathermen or the Black Panthers…they are overbreed, children who aren’t up for a fight.

      That’s what I would do.

  • Hardball1911

First, it’s really a non issue. He left, which was cheesy of him, but he left because of a perceived safety issue.

If ACCDF puts on an event, then the rules set prior to the event will dictate that the ‘counter’ protesters having nothing to do with ACCDF will be kept separated by legal means. This means that when permitting takes place, the application includes the full use of the facility and that option comes with the exclusion of those who would be trouble makers.

If they insist on breaking glass, they insist upon being arrested at their own peril, not at the peril of ACCDF. Make sure, as this guy did, to get it on video in order to show the stupidity that the ‘counter’ protesters are engaging in.

Logic will be the end of the illogical every time.

  • Mark in WA

Imagine the outcry from these same little anarchists if the tables were turned. Wow, the products of the last 20-30 years of public education on display.

    DesignR,

The answer is overwhelming numbers of determined, firm, and law-abiding Americans taking a stand wherever these clowns gather to disrupt or agitate. Active will be a part of that.

    • Tim Roesch

      Mark;
Good idea but we need intelligence (meaning information) on the enemy. We need to know when and where they will appear so we can too. And we need to know that the real enemy isn’t these foolish, ignorant, poorly educated students but the media who encourages them in their ignorance and frightened college administrators who don’t know what to do. These are the people and groups that need to be attacked, not the ignorant students.

It would also be helpful to have a flying squad of people who protest WHEREVER CNN or other news outlets appear. Get in CNN’s face too.

You have a great majority of people out there who want to join this movement but don’t know how. They work, they’re scared, they’re nervous.

Show them that their thoughts are not isolated. The one overwhelming thing I noted at the tea party I attended was how many people were surprised at how many others agreed with their take on things.

We need to join together, not split ourselves apart into angry factions. We must be united.

  • Bob

What about hiring the Hells’ Angels for security? Seriously what happened to the ‘Men’ of this country. If we take a few of these spoiled brats out back for an old fashioned ass whoopin’ this shit would end.

  • GRIZZ

Damn Im’ getting to old for this shit, but I would love a little come to JESUS time with these dope smoking pussies…..nothing against dope smokers or pussy.Nuff said

  • YERMOM

man there is a lot of ass there that needs to be stomped. spoiled little shitheads.

  • GRIZZ

Wait till you little pukes go out in the real world and try to get a job only to be told “I can get a mexican to do it for half that much”.Your college education, which doesnt amount to much these days, will be worthless. But mommy and daddy saved your bedroom just like you left it.

  • shootemdead

before today liberals were protesters and conservatives were not. but after today conservatives became protesters too. most for the first time and definately not the last.
the thing that worries me is when a group like this encounters a large group of conservative protestors and attempts to silence us by means of violence. how long before it degenerates into a physical confrontation? which we would surely win any way. but i feel the battle lines are being drawn and liberals cant walk all over us any more. is this the beginnning of a cultural civil war?

    • MinneSoCold

Very true. The left has a LOOONNNGGG history of violent protest which as their creed states, “The Ends Justify The Means”. With the right finally getting their public voice, I’m afraid there will be clashes. Sure, the right is angry, but we value civil, peaceful and honorable public protests. We also value, even if we don’t agree with it, the right to voice your opinions. Our history of counter-protests towards the left is also overwhelmingly non-violent and respectful. The left on the other hand, both in protest and counter-protest, firmly believes in civil discourse, vandalism and violence. It’s just not their “fringe groups”, it’s their mainstream thought, mob mentality that permeates their culture. It defines their character and worth.

    • solomonpal

Trouble is it’s a Marxist nature to push it all the way.I think it’s the beginning of a civil war.

  • Tom in CO

    Liberal tolerance on parade

  • Trigger Control

The teachers are the real ones to blame filling our youth with their Liberal hatred.

    • American Woman

Not the teachers, the parents have to be a strong role in their kids lives. Talk to them, ask them how their day was, what they are learning. Talk to them about social issues and the general state of the nation and politics. Talk about American history and why our country is so freckin awesome, go to church with them, eat dinner together at the dinner table, grow a garden together.

Parents hold their schools accountable for what they are teaching, call the principals and school boards.
The teachers are only filling their heads with crap if you let them. excuses excuses

People need to step up to the plate and take responsibility, now we know the problem…FIX IT!

  • unkaglen

I supported this man in the primaries, mainly for his stance on illegal immigration. If you want to know what illegal immigration has done or will do to our country I suggest you read his book “In Mortal Danger”.
Michelle Malkin writes “Tom Tancredo is a rare breed in Washington who puts principle above ego and country above party”.
We all need to hear what the ex Colorado Congressman has to say about illegal immigration,as it will surley be the undoing of this great nation..

  • DesignR

I’m going to repost something I wrote under the ‘Democrat vs Republican abortion debate’ video link. The police or campus police in the video seemed like they had nothing to do with what was taking place. They washed their hands right away and disowned the violence. It was on THEIR watch and they let it go on.

I think I have an answer to this. I just stumbled upon it.

    How to defeat the Left:

“A vapid, at best, argument by the Dem.

This proves that the left has no intellectual argument that can withstand simple debate on this subject.

On a broader note, it is the same across their entire political platform.

The problem is, name calling and violence begins before debate can even ensue. I’m shocked that this debate took place at all!

We need a POWERFUL defense against the violent and disruptive elements at debates. Calling them names in return will do nothing to further our cause and will play into their hands. Being verbose will not help either (boring). Violence should begat violence. If the leftist decide to disrupt and event, that should be met with swift violent suppression. Not deadly force, but ‘Police like’ force.

Civilian arrest procedures by off duty police would go a long way to allow a debate to actually take place. We know if that debate takes place, we win, every time. Logic trumps their arguments EVERY time we are allowed to speak.

Yelling back at them will do nothing but take us down to their level. We are a Civil Society that has a Police Force and Civil Arrest procedures for a reason.

We should use EVERY legal recourse imaginable in rapid, sure-fire, response EVERY time to counter them. This will suppress their attempts in a very serious way.”

    • Tim Roesch

      Good point.

I say, go at ‘em. Damn the torpedos and full steam ahead. Audacity, audacity, audacity.

There shouldn’t be one person giving a speech on illegal imigration. There should be hundreds of US there, outside and inside, talking outside, supporting inside.

Violence will play into their hands. Exchanges of words will fail since the MSM controls that flow of words.

We need to hit ‘em, hit ‘em. hit ‘em. Day and night.

Twenty of them show up to protest? Two hundred of us need to show up to stare them down. I’ve done it in restaurants. I have done it on street corners. These ‘kids’ aren’t violent. A whiff of stalwart behavior will have them fleeing. I’ve seen these people. They are weak in their logic and in their actions. They think they’ve won.

Hit ‘em and keep hitting them.

A bit of intell would go a long way to make sure that fifty ‘kids’ don’t shout the adults down.

  • jasjfarrell

This is why the democrats are trying to get everyone a free college education. They can be indoctrinated by leftest professors for another 4, or more, years.

  • Tom1981

If these protesters are so certain that their position is correct and Rep. Tancredo’s is wrong, then they should challenge him to a debate. If they’re right, let them prove it. If Rep. Tancredo is wrong, let them demonstrate it. Or is freedom of speech reserved only for the Left?

P.S. – How many of these students are having their tuitions subsidized by the rest of us in the form of federal grants, loans, and other financial aid?

    • DesignR

These kids don’t want debate. They were there to shout the speaker down, or disrupt his freedom of speech any way imaginable.

They ‘know’ they are right (their prof told them what to believe), so it is their ‘duty’ to shout down any ideas that do not mesh with their professors.

  • Tom1981

    DesignR

I’m fully aware of the fact that most of these groups don’t want a true debate. They’re snobs. They want to parade their “moral superiority” in front of the rest of us in order to stroke their own egos. I went to college with people just like this. My point was primarily intended to underscore the injustice of what was done to Rep. Tancredo and, hopefully, appeal to those on the Left who read conservative websites like this one in order to make them stop and think.

You raise an excellent point though re. security at events just like this so that conservatives aren’t muzzled by these brownshirt tactics. When campus police don’t enforce the law at state colleges and universities SUBSIDIZED BY THE TAXPAYER, effectively denying conservatives access, they ought to be boycotted, sued, and picketed. Furthermore, the private corporations that make grants and endowments to such schools should also be targeted. That’s what the Left does – and two can play at that game.

  • Sybil

The bloody bomber cop killer Ayers didn’t have this problem when speaking and teaching at universities.

Read Tom Tancredo’s book “In Mortal Danger”. Good man, I hated to see him leave the Senate but even the Repubs..didn’t like him.

  • Sybil

Oh, I forgot Ahmadinejad at Columbia….

  • Sybil

How about that one-liner from the intellectural elite.

George Soros is heavily involved in funding and organizing these group.
