COD 4 is a bad ass game

I wondered why there was no PC outcry at first
I have a cousin in Iraq , saw him over christmas

I have to talk with Konami then. I was looking forward to the game. COD4 was great. Wait were is the outcry about the other CODs, killing Germans, now Japanese….I can’t pop hajies….stupid.
As you guys that have done the real work, a game is a game, a game is not reality. The reality is beyond imagination.
People pull your head out of your asses, important stuff is happening around you everyday that puts you and your family at real peril, but people worry about a game. Don’t like it…here is some advice, don’t buy it, don’t play it.
Flip side it can be a marketing ploy the game market is dropping due to the economy, this was unexpected. This is one way to build demand….not to say that any marketing agency would do such a thing as to manufacture protest, forcing a multi-billion dollar company to cave in, only to disappoint and piss off their customers, who as soon as the “heat” subsides will release it, every copy will be sold be fore the man removes it only to find out the game really sucked. Or they figured out the game really sucked and needed and excuse to kill it.

I dunno…
I could be totally wrong here but to me this serves to honor those who were in Fallujah fighting for their country. I like the idea of reenacting famous battles via videogame.
Could some vets here weigh in?

I’m not a fan of commercializing a war before its even over (or any of its battles). That extends beyond video games into movies, tv shows and music videos (for some reason books don’t bother me though). I don’t think anyone should be prevented from making these things to make a profit, just remember that is what they’re doing. I don’t have as hard a time as some of the other guys I was with in Fallujah, but I can see this game putting me the fight or flight mode – so I would have passed it up anyway.

i was in fallujah and dont see why people are upset, nobody screamed out about any of the countless ww2 games depicting d day. and to the vets whining about it, cowboy the fuck up…its a game

What the Fuck man, I was getting hyped up and then they pull it? fags. Its no worse than any other game, and its no worse than if someone wrote a book… its just a visual representation, and why would it be bad to tell the story of what was happening there?

I was there as well….its a fucking game…and thats it….no different than any other games out there!!!!!! Let it roll out so we can all play it and maybe give the public a little perspective on what went on, if it’s accurate….from what I have seen, the buildings look accurate and the flimsy fucken gates to the houses…lol

It’s just a game. But then again there are those that ant to ban dodgeball in schools because it lowers self esteem…

Its a dam shame that it takes the japanesse to tell the story of the Marines in Falluja, just to have it pulled from release because of the efforts of the ignorant. Two dozen veterans of the Battle for Falluja were involved in the making of this game but thats not enough? Fucking cowards.
