Audience Applauds Bush for Opting for Open Mic Over Preselected Questions in MI

Detroit Free Press: It was his first major speech addressing his presidency and the state of the country since he left the presidency. Often joking about his retirement, Bush, 62, mused about being commander-in-chief, the fog of war that followed the Sept. 11 attacks, the danger of mixing politics and religion, and his unstinting belief in the power of free markets and free trade.

I may not have agreed with all he did in office, but the man has class.

Selflessness and Courage we will never see again. This country will impale itself on ots own arrogance. How this man was dealt during war time, the national security malfesance he inherited from Clnton and Gore is inexcusable and a plot most of us thought was preparing us for as successful takeover.

The way he has been dealt by Obama only shows Obama’s lack of character and morals and he is unfit to hold any office. He talks about values, which ones the ones Reverend Wright taught him?

We will sorely miss Bush. We see it already.

I live in Michigan and was about 2 hours away. Wish I could have got to see him. Of course he is all class just like his mother “The Bitch” (Harry Reid’s words not mine). No bashing Obama or the Democraps. He will be blamed for everything that happens to this country for the next four years – no matter who is in power. I really do admire him but wish he would have been fiscally conservative. No matter what he says or does will be villified by the MSM Obama loving media. I say let the media deal with Cheney who will tell them Fuck You.

    God Bless you, Mr. President.

Bush had character, class, balls of steel, an iron will, towering courage and strength of conviction in the face of almost insurmountable opposition.

Seeing Bush next to Obama at the innauguration was like seeing General Patton next to Pee Wee Herman.

I could have voted for G. W. Bush for governor of Texas twice. I declined as I thought he was a Big Government Republican (BGR). I also disagreed with most of his policies as president of the US. That said, he has demonstrated that he is about the classiest ex president that I can remember.

He was the subject of constant vitriolic attacks by the dems from every level and yet he never responded in kind. He still holds his tongue and opinions as is traditional in American politics.

    God bless GW Bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“He still holds his tongue and opinions as is traditional in American politics.”

During his presidency, President Bush has always presented himself in the most positive manner possible.

But as far as politicians holding their tongue being “traditional [behavior] in America” maybe back at the turn of the century but what American politics are you referring to in recent history?

President Bush’s professionalism and class are unusual for a politician (to include congressmen & senators) in recent American History.
