Coulter On Sotomayor: Clarence Thomas & Miguel Estrada’s Backgrounds Didn’t Impress Democrats. Were They Racists?

Posted by: Greg Hengler at http://townhall.com

I’ve never seen Carville so weak in a debate. His poor performance wrests more in his shallow Obama Administration talking points than in his skill. Obama and his media foot soldiers have been regurgitating the same rhetoric: Putting all focus on Sotomayor’s impressive academic and diverse personal background. Coulter points out the obvious: Thomas and Estrada had just as much of an impressive academic and diverse background, but they were vilified. Touche, Ann.

Ever since the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor, media figures like GMA’s Diane Sawyer have been trying to pin conservatives in a corner–oh so subtly–in order to expose either Latino and female bigotry. The same tactic was used with President Barack Obama. Talking heads would say, “Putting politics aside, aren’t you excited about the first black man running for President of the United States?” Well, Ann finally calls out Sawyer’s intellectually bankrupt, liberally-based more than identity-based talking points. Let’s hope Ann’s perspective is contagious.

They were also a whole lot smarter as well.

I heard the entire interview Rush did with Clarence Thomas when his book came out and I was astounded to hear about Thomas’s childhood and his upbringing. It brought tears to my eyes but at the same time I was thinking I had never heard the story of Clarence Thomas’s childhood. The Dumbocraps skewered him early on and the hearings were a lynching. You never heard the MSM drool over him and his “compelling” life story. I am so sick and tired of the double standard in the media.

Ann Coulter, Liz Cheny, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Sarah Palin and all the rest of the conservative women need more air time.

They are such unflappable proponents of the Conservative idea and withstand blistering attacks in their face on these talk shows without exploding.

    Thank God for Conservative Women.

Oh, and they are all knock-outs even before they open their mouths! We are SOOOOOOO lucky.

Just ask anyone, black or white, what was Middle Passage?, and how did it function? and I am sure you will get a dumbfounded response.

This racial shit is for simple minded fools.

Given Carville’s comments relying upon the background of Clarence Thomas, are the Democrats now going to confess error in engaging in character assassination of Thomas? Not a chance.

Carville has no answer to Coulter’s points: (i) that liberals did not talk about the backgrounds of Estrada and Thomas as supportive of their nominations; and (ii) that Republicans ought to follow the lead of Obama in aggressively opposing confirmaiton of Roberts and Alito and filibuster Sotomayor.

Diane Saywer looks great for a 98 year old. In fact I think Tom Sawyer is her older brother.

Quite offended BT, I’m a white kid from a farm in Wisconsin and yes Iam very familiar with the middle passage. My wife, a black city gal from Savannah GA (great granddaughter of slaves) has no idea about it because she can not watch or read about such human suffering. I have been trying for years to educate her but she just can’t do it. She won’t even watch The Color Purple.
Just sayin’ some people choose not to know the intimacies of such human calamity. Myself I began looking into it in the 70’s after seeing Roots. My intellectual curiousity was piqued again after befriending a person who seeks reparations (no it’s not Spike Lee). Unfortunately “race hustlers” like Sharpton and Jackson control the dialogue so no real debate can ever be engaged.
It is America and the sins of the father are not visited unto the son. At least until now.
BTW Coulter housed idiot Carville just like Rove did earlier in the week. Does the left have anyone with intellectual heft? Ariana Huffington, Kieth Olbermann and Chris Matthews is all they can muster? Thats why we are the party of ideas. And that does indeed send a thrill up my leg.

Carville > a slithering snake since birth, I’m sure

Don’t answer questions, throw mud, & distract people from the real issue.

A true puppet to his master.
