Gingrich: Pelosi Should Be Disqualified As Speaker
POLITICO: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on Monday that Nancy Pelosi’s claim that she was “misled” by the CIA “disqualifies” the California Democrat from continuing as speaker.
“To have the person third in line to be president say that the CIA misleads us all the time is so utterly irresponsible and such an attack on the men and women who are risking their lives … that she disqualifies herself for being speaker of the House,” the Georgia Republican said during an interview on Joe Scarborough’s radio show.
“This is not like an average member, this is not some back-bencher who’s allowed to, you know, say dumb things,” Gingrich added. “This person, the speaker of the House, has access to the nation’s secrets.”
Gingrich has been one of Pelosi’s harshest critics since she made her accusation against the intelligence agency Thursday.
Responding to Pelosi’s comments on Friday, Gingrich called Pelosi a “dishonest” and “trivial” politician during a radio interview with ABC News.
“This is a big deal. I don’t think the speaker of the House can lie to the country on national security matters,” Gingrich told ABC. “She either comes across as incompetent or dishonest. Those are the only two defenses.”
“The fact is she either didn’t do her job, or she did do her job and she’s now afraid to tell the truth,” he said.

Relieved of her duties; security clearance revoked, U. S. Attorney’s Office consider criminal obstruction, perjury and false official statements charges.
After 32 years of a career federal, when it comes to senior people who are charged and or found guilty or allegations of administrative misconduct are substantiated: What would we do if this were a GS-5 or E-3???
To aggravate the depth of seriousness, these senior people have a greater responsibility because “…honor is what you do when nobody is watching…” J. C. Watts.
I think the detterent affect of justice in the case of US v Pelosi will send a very loud message that honor and ethics and obedience to the rule of law is cherished as a mechanism of protecting people’s rights, and to violate that is to bring consequences that are certain, severe, swift.
Public trust has been corrupted because none of the three is part of the scenario when the American people are violated. Democrats ALWAYS slither out, Republicans are usually thrown in fron of a freight train and abandonned.
She should not resign…this is not a settlement between parties where one admits that there is not enough evidence but we can’t move forward. She should be relieved of duty, clearance suspended then terminated when fully adjudicated and found guilty.
