good interviews. YERMOM is looking forward to this. the question becomes what do these states do if they are over ruled?

    do they resist?

and if they do what do people outside of those states do?

How about a state law directing all taxes due the federal government be paid into a state escrow fund pending the resolution of the dispute.

Of course all federal funding currently paid to the state could be directly paid from the escrow account … saying in effect “we don’t need no stinking feds”

Of course Montana’s low population would work against it but Texas … that’s different.

    • Tom1981

      AFITgrad86

That’s what I said yesterday(see above). That’s okay. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Apparently great minds DO think alike.

    • AFITgrad86

Sorry Tom … I didn’t follow your link. True .. we are on the same page!

  • GBU43

Whats going to happen is the liberals will find a way to dissolve any notion of states rights.

The federal government will then rush into one of these states and seize some citizen who is following the states interpretation.

The state then has a choice to detain the federal officers or let them haul off the citizen out of the state and let Obama burn him as an example of how not to defy the most merciful one.

    • Blade Runner

Jeez, you guys have more faith in Obama and his thugs than you do in We, the People. What a shame. :gun:

    • YERMOM

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was asking.

    • Bedlam

YERMOM: Methinks you misinterpreted who Blade Runner was replying to.

Blade Runner: What we have faith in is our resolve to stay true and protect the America we love. What we worry of is the myriad of voo-doo magic and treachery o-bam-bam might bring to us.

  • SgtJenz

This is precisely why we the people need to stand up and support initiatives like this.
The politicians in Montana handed the people of that state a legal means to tell the Feds to take a hike.

It can only fail if the people let it. And this is another reason to join ACTIVE. An organized group of citizens is far more effective than one or several individuals winging it alone.

In Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, RULE 12 states: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Know your enemy and organize to defeat them.

  • nospyme

Ok, what firearms and ammo are presently manufactured in Montana?

Is there a gun shop at the border? You trade in X, get a chit for a Montana X version, which you then pick up in Montana.

    • GRIZZ

HSM ammo.Reload stuff.Normally easy to find here in the west.As for guns?

    • Gooddad

You do not remove the firearms from Montana. The products are to remain in Montana for the use of citizens. This avoids the interstate commerce regulations of the Feds. If you cross the state line, they could be waiting for you.

This is how I understand it.

    • nospyme

      Goodad:

I thought that in addition to NOT leaving the state, the ammo&/or firearm had to be manufactured WITHIN Montana. The federal authority to oversee commerce between Montana and other states would be nonexistent, due to no movement. No movee, no authoritay….

      sabe?

    • nospyme

      Oops. Meant Gooddad…

wow…we have some great stuff to ponder here…lets hope many other states follow suit

Libs in Cali use State’s rights arguments to argue for ‘medical’ marijuana which is still a fed crime.

  • Joe

Glenn Beck will be talking about this all week long. On his radio and TV show. Then on Friday he will have the entire show devoted to this topic.

As he said he “Sees this as the light at the end of the tunnel…”

From his Friday radio show he said this..

“..This is the case, but it doesn’t it cannot just happen in Montana. It has to happen in all of the states, or a lot of them. Because of something called emerging consensus, this is a new thing that the Court loves: “Well, where are the people going.” This is why they want the state this is the strategy for gay marriage: Get the states to pass these laws that okay gay marriage, then short circuit the system, get it kicked up to the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court is bound to look at emerging consensus and say, “This is where the states are moving; so we’ve got to do this.” That’s the new progressive way to do it. Well, if emerging consensus is state rights, specifically specifically on guns…the matrix is unplugged and the power goes to the states…”

Time to get ACTIVE has come!
    God Bless America Joe

  • PatriotofPast(Thomas)

Tell me what you think about this :
The Feds will pull ALL Federal Funding unless Montana impliments this NEW Assault Weapons Legislation. The Bill (cant remember the #) has finger printing, Doctors exam, and alot of other Stupid Ass Regulations.
I just see it going down this way, so the Feds can keep thier thumb on the People.

  • Kirk

If and when Texas does this, I hope they go all the way, and build full-autos!

  • http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/Texas_Flag_Come_and_Take_It.svg Allen TX (Come and Take It)

*Donning my tinfoil hat* Why is it that firearms manufacturers are always located in the NE, in states that are as blue as the sky after a rainstorm? My mind begins to envision back room dealing of firearm CEOs and their US reps and senators. From these dealings I see the CEOs turning up the heat to keep states like MT and TX from ramping up privately owned production because westerners are some of their biggest clients. Or vice versa, reps and senators use the strong arm of the federal government and regulation to keep big firearm from moving production to states that do not regulate the companies to death. This is how I see the federal govt. exerting power and infringing on second amendment rights and tenth amendment rights without ever having to offer any legislation that can be seen by the public eye.

  • prestonbrooks

:???: Too bad. Looks like Obama’s Dictatorship may end in armed revolutionary struggle. Civil War. Today is Confederate Memorial Day. We don’t need another Civil War. Obama must be chased from power by Law. The US loses if we begin shooting each other– but perhaps that is the choice Oboy will make. True patriots will not fire the first shot, just the last.

    • Tim Roesch

      Preston, I actually feel optimistic.

I mean, if Obama-Nation is going after the Constitution is the best they got, the Special Forces of their Army, Sykes and Garafolo?

I am thinking Obama and his minions are drinking deep from the well of their own propaganda. If I were them and I were insterested in destroying the Constitution then I would be doing things far differently.

Either their game plan ain’t working or they are being too timid OR (this is where I am thinking) they have been suckered by their own propaganda and truly thing Fly Over Country is a few hicks on a back porch drinking moonshine.

I think Obama thought he was poking dead things with a stick and is finding (through very good intel) that that thing ain’t dead and his stick won’t do much against a CAR-15.

Of course, there could be some ‘National Emergency’ event…that’s what I am looking for.
Jokes about Limbaugh and absolute silence on states like Montana and Texas threatening to ream the present system a new one are not jackbooted thugs getting ready for a Crystalnacht.

I think we all were preparing for a grizzly bear and find ourselves facing a Bambi.

    • DesignR

      Tim Roesch
“I think we all were preparing for a grizzly bear and find ourselves facing a Bambi.”

      I Pray you are correct.

But fear a deeper, substantial, threat.

While we are dithering with the President over carbon taxation, gun control, immigration and the like, Obama strips our military of resources and support.

Then our enemies gather at the borders, and in quiet backwaters within, ready to pounce. We know this is happening.

If it is a coordinated attack with only a few ‘in the know’ in these disparate organizations, it might be too late to stop.

For example: The Atzlan group in the south west (millions of armed Mexican Nationals wanting CA, OR, NV, AR, TX etc. back), the Islamic Fundamentalist sleeper cells in nearly every state, and dedicated moon bat leftists in control of the courts disallowing the average Joe of his rights in his own home town.

The 9/11 terrorist attacks nearly toppled the financial system of the US with a few jet liners. Think of the condition the banks are in today.

Think about a coordinated attack upon food, energy, and economic infrastructure everywhere, all at once. Communication must be a large element in this. We will all be blind and alone in our homes with little to no intelligence to work with.

At that point it will be ‘The Road Warrior’ in our own back yards.

I hope and Pray you are right, but I need to remain vigilant for my own family and am preparing for the worst.

    • Tim Roesch

DesignR, I hope I am right too. I foresee a revolution that can lead, as others have, to a tyranny, however well intentioned the revolution.

Killing Obots won’t solve the underlying rot in this country but, possibly, provide an avenue for this century’s Hitler to arise out of the ashes and rubble (rabble).

I, too, stand ready to defend America with every last ounce of my blood but I also look ahead and wonder what my blood might buy, unknowingly.

That is why I am putting together a plan to run for Governor of the state of MA, not simply stockpilling food and ammo and hiding in my basement (not saying you are…).

    • DesignR

I don’t own a gun. I have not stocked provisions or band aids. However, I have gotten my financial house in order and have cut back all expenses and am trying to pay off all debt.

You are right to fear a Hitler that could rise from the ashes of a Civil War in this country. Even educated people will cling to a strong man if they think he can feed their family in a crisis.

I am contemplating the purchase of a shotgun for the house and a pistol for general protection, as well as a simple ‘go pack’ with food, first aid and water for the family to last a week in a camping situation.

But, real world, I feel a Victory Garden and little to no personal debt would be energy and money better spent.

  • POD1

The resistance is gaining momentum, in spite of the media blackout.

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=97898

  • Ji

Allen most gun manufacturers started there because of the civil war and industry.
Arizona has at least one manufacturer.
All you need is a gunsmith.

  • Ji

POD1 read the WND article. Thats a lot of blue states.
Has me scratching my head though. Why would blue states go for it.
Fat chance Illinois does. Most corrupt state in the union.

    • Tim Roesch

      Excellent question, Ji.

Most ‘blue states’ are blue because they have a large city in them that is full of illegal immigrants and the entrenched poor, whose votes and voting is easily manipulated. Having worked in upstate New York and having friends in Plattsburgh and Buffalo, Most of the State of NY is Red while NYC is blue and NYC carries the day and the rest of New York HATES NYC. Same thing in MA. Boston accounts for most of the Federal votes since it is the center of population but go to Pittsfield or Adams or Great Barrington and you will find those who HATE Boston and that is where you get your better sort of state legislators.

  • Mr. Standfast

More states are getting on the band wagon with states rights on firearms:

    Very interesting…
