Why aren’t we hearing this more? How, again, can ACCDF get this sort of message out?
Again, let it be known that I am pro-choice; not because I want to see children DEAD but because you can not be given a choice without freedom to choose and until the male part of the Abortion issue is dealt with, the Abortion issue will remain.
I respect this message and I agree with it but Abortion is the lesser of two evils and certainly a less than the evil of allowing the sperm donor to get off (figuratively and literally) Scot-free and give the woman the ‘choice’ of an abortion or an aborted life where society leaves her on her own to deal with an issue that is not entirely her own to deal with.
If I were Governor of MA I would allow abortion BUT not on the tax payers dime and it would not be a private issue. Children who require abortions would be investigated as to why underage minor females were pregnant in the first place.
Those requiring multiple abortions would NOT acquire one on the tax payer’s back and I would support investigating why the male member was not there to support the life he helped create.
Abortion can be aborted with a societal mandate that loose and lascivious behavior will NOT be tolerated.
There is no greater sin than an unwanted child.
This is not about abortion or no abortion. This is about respecting the individual and assigning responsibility for the choices individuals make; not trying to justify or ignore poor behavior, hoping it will go away or not affect me.
This is a powerful speech and it needs more public airing.

Tim,
What about respecting that child that had no control in his or her conception? Why not allow that child to be adopted to a loving family that can’t have children on their own?
The murder of an unborn child is much worse than his/her conception, be it unplanned or inconvenient.
I do agree with you that Pastor Piper’s speech should be broadcast more.

Matt, I agree with you about it NOT being the fault of the child so conceived.
The problem is this: Wave a magic wand Abortion is no illegal.
Will that solve the problem? The problem is not women choosing to abort babies. The problem is that there are pregnant women who do not want their children. This shouldn’t happen in the first place. The problem is that there are boys, the only thing mature about them being their testicles, who think they have the right to screw anything that will sit still long enough.
Making abortion illegal is like pulling the top part of the weed and forgetting the roots.

Tim,
Yes, stupid un-self-controlled men are 50% of the problem in these kind of pregnancies, the woman who participated in the act of intercourse is responsible as well. You CAN say no men, and ladies. Men, you will NOT die if you don’t GET some.
The answer is NOT to murder the baby because either the woman, man, or both are inconvenienced (the very epitome of selfishness). Making abortion illegal will curb the problem of abortion so drastically it would be incredible. Look at the infant mortality rate before and after abortion was made legal.
To not make it illegal because it won’t solve the problem of men and women having sex and not wanting a baby as a result is literally throwing the baby out with the bath water.
The important issue isn’t about men and women having babies and not wanting them, its about murdering babies because they don’t want them. Help solve the greater evil, the murder of babies first.

Again, Matt, I agree and thank yoy, DesignR for your Amen.
But, again, I had a family member (a great uncle) who was arrested for providing illegal abortions in the 1950s. I have some understanding of the lengths women will go to get rid of the fetus implanted into them, a guilt and blame pointed straight at them, families often abandoning them.
With no way out, no succor and support, the man off free and easy, often scorning the woman he made pregnant, resorted to abortions: sadly abortions inflicted on themselves or given to them by others.
My great uncle happened to be a doctor and, from what I am told, few of his patients died during the procedure. Of the ones who did, most had come to him after attempting ‘coat hanger’ techniques.
I agree, abortion is horrible, it is murder but it is a relatively fast murder when you compare it to a life time of guilt, shame, abandonment, ridicule, poverty and hopelessness.
The true horror of the term ‘prochoice’ is how inappropriate the word is. A woman is NOT given a free choice with legal abortions. She is presented with the choice between a rock and a very hard, cold place while the other partner in the debacle is off to try his luck (should be spelled with a ‘F’) again.
I do respect the child’s life and rights.
I remember that woman in WV, I think it was (maybe TN) who shot herself in the abdomen in an attempt to rid herself of the fetus after the ‘boy’ who made her pregnant refused to help pay for the abortion and abandoned her (I may not have all the facts right-I know I will be schooled if I don’t).
I do not merely weep for the dead child, I weep for all involved.
DesignR
Amen.

Hey Tim,
You didn’t once mention the word responsibility. As far as I know there has only been one immaculate conception in the history of mankind.
