Forced? Please. Those who choose celebacy know what they are getting into. It’s spelled out for them before they make the choice. That’s right, CHOICE. It’s not like the Church drafts men into the priesthood or the monestary. They CHOOSE to live such a life.
Instead of using this as an opportunity to bash the Church that has been bringing Christ to the world for 2000 (yes, 2000) years, why don’t you study a bit of history and see how 500 years of your own erronious doctrine has damaged the cause of Christ? From what several non-christians have told me, it is very hard to take Christianity seriously when you have so many little factions using the same source material and coming up with so many wierd different interpretations. A Church with one pope is better than a church where everyone’s a pope.
