I’ve seen folks die in prairie fires a couple times in my life. Fire is something to be fought as you would any enemy.
I can’t decide if he’s a freak or just nuts. maybe he’s a nutty freak.

How soon after the fire starts does he show up?

Not that scary folks. The Video is actually from “inside” the fire. It is getting cut off that is scary. The inside of the fire is actually the safest spot on a fire. It is called “The Black”. If you look at the two houses on fire in the begining of the video you will notice the black trail that runs between them. That used to be grass or some such thing that is already burnt. It has already burned and can’t burn anymore. That is why The Black is safER. No place is safe. The guy is standing on dirt. it is better than the Black, nothing to burn and it isn’t hot enough to burn your soles.
You do of course want to be out of the fire and only get into the Black after the fire has passed.
It is the falling trees that will kill you. They sound pretty cool coming down though.
