POLITICO: It’s not very often that you see Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) pictured alongside scantily-clad women – even in Las Vegas.

But that’s the image that the National Republican Senatorial Committee is inculcating in a Web ad attacking Reid for holding a glitzy Las Vegas fundraiser with President Obama (netting the senator’s campaign about $2 million) during an economic recession.

“While Nevada families are hurting and losing their jobs, Harry Reid is throwing a blowout Hollywood party for himself at Caesar’s palace,” the ad says. as an image of a half-naked model flashes alongside a head shot of Reid. “How more out of touch can he be?”

Republicans have aggressively attacked Reid in recent days, but currently have no candidates willing to challenge the well-funded senator. Reid ended March with over $5 million in his campaign account, and has said he is planning to raise an eye-popping $25 million for his re-election campaign.

So even though polls show Reid vulnerable to a credible challenger, the longer he continues to stockpile cash without any opposition, the harder it will be for the GOP to seriously challenge him.

    Why no challenger?

Sounds like the GOP has resorted to the populist appeal, suggesting that harry “do something” as though it is big brothers business to “take care of” his constituents. Reid is a lefty asshole, but in this ad it makes the GOP look like a me too welfare party. Is the GOP suggesting more gubmint program??

A simple ad pointing out how his socialist policies have cost jobs would suffice. Without a viable opponent, why bother.

      Great point!

Let’s not lose track of what is really important here. We have issues ‘orders of magnitude’ greater than that criminal ass-hat Harry Reid.

See ya, Harry. You won’t fuck up my country anymore.

The Republicans do not have to lie about Harry Reid. Pull out a copy of the Constitution and relate how his programs and issues are contrary to it. Show that he favors Socialism and Communist thus is not an American Patriot.

Facts work a whole lot better than propaganda.
