They NEVER get to the meat of a subject.

They attack someone on an inconsequential part of a given subject. They fill-up (waste, run out the clock) time on these shows with arguments about the speck on a donkey and not the argument about the donkey itself.

That is why we felt so good about Cheny and his attack on Obama’s Gitmo Policy.

We finally heard a complete argument, full throated, in our favor.

There were no edits or Carville interruptions’ during the speech. Comments about someone’s accent or geographic prowess were never allowed to fog up the debate.

We need a way to slap down those kinds of interuptions with a saying, a very short retort that becomes part of the lexicon.

Bill O’Reilly calls his set the “No Spin” room. What can we call it when someone is trying to run out the clock and avoid the core issue in an argument?
