    I’m really mixed on this vid. In virtually every police brutality case I have ever seen or heard of involves the perp being a belligerant shithead and/or deciding to fight with cops. In this case they were way the hell out of line. The cop that did this will be damn lucky to be guarding a shopping mall after this one.

    On the other hand, I find it hard to muster sympathy for assholes who lead cops on a high speed chase. It endangers the lives of police and everyone around them.

    When the officer was slipping, I’m glad the guy on the ground volunteered to help prevent the officer from falling. That officer could have been injured.

    The cop shouldnt have done it. One week probation for the cop.
    And the perb stays in jail, until all fines and penalties are paid for.
    That includes paying for the cops salary while on probation and medical injuries to the cops foot.

    No matter your opinion, this makes the war on political correctness unwinnable as long as people celebrate what this fucking idiot did on camera. You so called constitutionalists need to think about that. Where does it say beat downs are acceptable. You can’t pick and choose what you like about the document, you either accept it or you don’t.

    The perp deserves punishment no doubt about it, but we as a people do not deserve a thinner blue line because of this assholes action. And no doubt that’s what we will get.

      hey, speck, we don’t know what the perp said, threatened to do, or refuse to comply with the officer’s orders.
      You cause a car chase, damage property, endanger the public at large, run from the PD….you better not be expecting the kid-glove treatment when they catch you..

      The officer knew what he was doing and that there was almost certainly a camera taking video of the whole ordeal. This is just another “taken-out-of-context” scenario that the lefties and libtards will exploit for their own gains.

      I’m with Spec on this one…

      Most police brutality cases I have seen involve the perp being a belligerant shithead and/or fighting with the cops. If some drunk asshole wants to pick a fight with the cops and have is ass on the ground doing the taser cha-cha that is fine by me. But this cop was way out of line.

      Pretty lame defence as far as I see it. And whether you agree with me or not, I do have a right to my own opinion. I never said kid glove treatment was in order, as a matter of fact where in the fuck did I say that, maybe you should re-read the context you’ve attached to my comment DC.

      The officer knew what he was doing uh, or did he let his adreniline get the best of him. Really, before you or I rush to judgement that should be thought through.

      There is a bigger picture here then rushing to the defense or conviction of this cop. The thin blue line getting thinner. You can accuse me of whatever in the fuck people but it’s part of the reason things are getting worse, just a small part I might add, but these events brings un-neccessary attention to it.

      I think this cop needs a lesson at front sight. If he truelly knew how to handle the gun pointed at the perp the foot wouldn’t be neccessary. Especially if he was threatned. The officer had the drop on him with his gun dingus.

      If your going to beat the perp down you do it in the cage people, not out in fucking public.

      If you want it done in public then you better accept the consequences of it. A certain fanatical religous group comes to mind that does that. Does anyone want to fucking call me out on that one, or maybe you can just guess on your own. That type of acceptance is just one step closer to the shumer hitting the fan.

      I’m not defending anyone here, I’m just saying that we, the public, don’t and probably will never have all the details. One can shoot all the video footage they want, but without the audio track, it’s impossible to tell anything the perp OR the cop said.
      Basically, we don’t have all the facts……get down off your high-horse….I’m entitled to my opinion as much as you are entitled to yours. Unless of course you are one of those who believes in a double-standard on the 1st amendment.

      And as far as my comment about the kid-glove treatment…that’s just a “for instance”.

      The law is very clear on this. Thats assault no if’s ands or buts. And he should be charged with it like any other US citizen would be.
      Seeing the officer probably has a clean record he would probably get probation. Which he would deserve.
      I would also bet the officer is probably kicking himself right now for having tarnished the repubation of his fellow policemen and the department in general.

      Well, let me clear this up for YOU, speck……My contention was never that the cop did us all a favor or whether he was right or wrong to do what he did. I don’t now or did I ever side with the cop. The video looks pretty damning, and the cop may be in for a slap-down for kicking the guy in the face, but we will probably never know the details and the results.
      All I ever meant was that we don’t have all the information. We also probably don’t have all the video!

      You took my original comment completely out of context and started a pissing contest just because I happen to introduce a differing opinion.

    The officer was doing a technique developed by the FBI called a foot frisk. He was checking for weapons under the hat.

    You may also use the foot frisk for checking weapons in the groin.

    AS a former Police defensive tactics Instructor I can tell you that unless mitigating circumstances can be proven, it was a inappropiate use of force. Subject was prone with both hands visible, the only thing I can think of was if the Officer was commandng the subject to turn his head. Which is a traditional command for felony arrest scenario. Note that once the blow was delivered, the suspect kept his face turned away…..

    It was a good lick though…. and we dont know.. was the subject a psychopathic murderer or some dums ass kid out for a joy ride.

    The kick, from what I saw was unecessary, and unwarranted. The rest is classic police work. If people do not like being controlled by police, stop being a scum bag and stop victimizing other people.

    We willingly forget that these people psychologically terrorize whole communities and every asshole runs to the scum bag’s defense to help him escape consequences for what we deliberately done to violate another human being.
